I haven't been to a game since I was a little boy and am taking my wife and son to a game this year.

What's the best place to buy tickets? Through lsusports.net?

Also, are people really able to get the prices I'm seeing on stubhub for grandstand seats? $200/seat looks a little high.

There's a ticket exchange here on TD. But usually outside of the stadium is your best bet. If you're bringing a kid, even better.

I don't care for the new Stubhub thing. Prices are rediculous.

If anyone pays $100 to sit in the grandstand they're retarded.

Try the ticket exchange. Post WTB
Most baseball people are reasonable with their prices.

Ticket Exchange

Best bet, like posted above, is buy outside the stadium. Cheapest you'll find.

Stay away from stub hub for all tickets. Those prices are all ridiculous and can always be beat somewhere else.

Wouldnt over pay for tix, usually can get them @ the stadium for face value...look on the ticket exchange on TD, someone always wanting to get rid of some...

You can get grandstand tickets for weekend series games on StubHub for less than $25 every weekend except possibly for a big SEC series. For week night games you can get grandstand tickets for under $15.

I bought tickets for gold seats behind the plate for the Nicholls St. game Tuesday on StubHub for $10.

I'm going to have to find 3 tickets in the grandstand for my dad and his friend and they are in their 70's. How hard will that be to get 3 together? I know most sell by the pair.

Every game is different but just for example for the next home game next Tuesday versus San Diego on StubHub right now there are 3 tickets together in 2 different grandstand sections, section 210 & 217, for $15/each.

StubHub adds a fee so $15 tickets will cost around $20 each after the fees are added.

Yeah I don't use StubHub anymore because of the extra fees. Loved using it when they had no extra fees and tickets were actually dirt cheap.

Buy a SRO ticket and go sit in the gold seats until someone asks you to move.

Seriously, do not overpay on Stubhub for baseball tickets.

There are plenty of tickets available at the Box.

SEC Friday and Sat can be tough tickets but you still can find tickets outside stadium.

At both games this season that we had tickets for the gold seats behind the plate the game marshal at the top of the section asked to see our tickets before we could go down the steps.

Maybe that's new with the new contracted game management company this year??

I had a club ticket vs Maryland on Friday, and I saw them stop some people trying to sit down there once it started to clear out the last couple innings. It's some of the same ushers but definitely some new ones.

That being said, I went to sit in the gold seats with my son vs Air Force (Sunday) in the 5th next to some friends. We weren't stopped nor were we asked to show tickets.

Probably the reason. They definitely checked our tickets both times when we arrived about 15 minutes before game time.

No doubt. My son seemed ready to leave; he was tired of being in the sun. I was just stopping by to say hello before we headed home, but then he started talking to another boy there and enjoyed being closer to the action. Made it the rest of the game. Passed out in the car before we left the parking lot.

I'm looking for Ole Miss tickets for the Good Friday game. I know they'll be higher than 15 to 25 but on stubhub people are asking 150+ for grandstand.

I didn't pay that much for LSU vs. Alabama in football.

They put those up that high now because there really are suckers out there. I know of someone who paid $130 for 3 tickets in the LF HR bleachers for opening night.

StubHub actually throws the fee on the seller, not the buyer, so a $8 ticket only nets the seller a bit over $7. I forget the percentage, but when I sell on there I sometimes set the price as a dollar over the face to recoup that.

One other thing is that last year the LSU tix site wouldn't let me select and set for sale tix to the StubHub portal when I was on mobile, so several times if I knew I was going to be out and about and wasn't sure if I was going to use my tickets I'd put them up for sale at an absurd price and once I knew whether or not I was going I would either delist them or bring the price back down via stubhub app. No idea if that's what these folk are doing though.

In short, don't pay prices that are absurd. There will almost always be people selling outside or even SRO

StubHub charges a fee on both the seller and buyer.

For the seller it's a flat 10% of ticket price charged.

For the buyer it's a dollar amount between $4 & $10 based on the ticket price.

I've bought tickets this season and then sold my grandstand tickets that I'm not using so I've experienced the fees added on both sides of the exchange.

Meh, I like knowing where I'll be sitting. I don't find the prices on StubHub or the SH fees to be unreasonable or absurd.

They will come down before game day. It's a real-time process, similar to eBay.

As game time approaches some sellers start getting desperate and will drop their price. I've bought Champions Club tickets (last season) an hour before game time for $15+ fees.

Of course, the buyer who is counting on that risks getting left out on good seats if someone else is willing to pay a higher price early in the process.
