After hearing that Deichmann practiced yesterday, let's go ahead and assume he is going to play 56 games this season.

That being said, I want to compile a consensus TD Starting Lineup chart for tomorrow, or later on today depending on how many replies and lineups are posted.

Make sure to include Last Name and Position too so we can also see what you think they will be playing for majority of the first part of the season. (I understand lineups change drastically thru the season, especially between 5-9 spots, this is just for fun though)

Let's go...

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.

Although Deichmann may be cleared to play this weekend, I think it's best for everyone if he isn't rushed back. I don't think he plays this weekend

I hope Adams can maintain this spot for the season, it would be nice to have his pop in the lineup.

Which is why I said I hope he can maintain the spot. He will not keep the spot if he constantly strikes out.

So many ways he can go with this. I would want Duplantis at the top of the order, but we'll see if it ends up Freeman.

With Deichmann starting and lets just assume he DH's just for this weekend I would set the lineup as is...

1. Duplantis CF L
2. Freeman 2B R
3. Robertson SS R
4. Deichmann DH L
5. Slaughter 1B R
6. Jordan LF R
7. Smith 3B L
8. Papierski C R
9. Breaux RF L

Is there a chance Duplantis wouldn't be leading off? I thought he did a fine job as a freshman last year.

This looks right. Deichmann changes things. I think Jordan and Slaughter could make the switch but everything else looks right to me. 5 righties, 4 lefties, good mixture with speed and power placed nicely. I don't see freeman as a leadoff like some have posted. Duplantis seems like the best option and freeman and deichmann give robertson great buffers.

Slight over reaction to him struggling a bit during scrimmages. He's the best outfielder LSU has on this roster and is the type of hitter that's less prone to extended slumps so I like him in that role getting on base before the mashers of the group.
