You continue to prove you can't read.

That chart is from one source of La. appropriations, the "Higher Education Funding from the Overcollections Fund" (whatever that is), not all sources of La. funding.

Do you honestly believe UL-Lafayette's total state appropriation is only $18.8 million?!?

Why don't you post a link for where you got that screen shot?

You're making yourself look more foolish every time you post.....

The funny part is that he doesnt realize ULL is just like any other in-state school to us. They will continue to stay in the rotation like everyone else. They can back out if they want but I know their administration isnt as dumb as their fans.

Let me help you out with "facts":

quote:

-The state-funded portion of the 2014-15 unrestricted budget for LSU’s main campus amounts to $127.3 million (before the midyear budget cuts that could be announced soon, of course).

-LSU is the biggest, most notable of the state’s public universities, getting about a quarter of all the state funding for higher education as well as generating plenty of additional funds through tuition, research grants, contracts, philanthropy, and football.
LINK

The UL-Louisiana System's 2014-2015 state funding budget was $240.8 million. UL-Lafayette's share of that was $46.6 million.

LINK

So when you repeatedly say that LSU receives the "majority of higher education money from the state" it's just incorrect.

And I am correct when I say that the UL System receives "almost double" what LSU receives in state funding.

Damn good question.

Now we know why all of those little community colleges around the state continue to exist.

They apparently are the "Friends of Politicians Full-Employment Act."

Louisiana doesn't have true community colleges. They are all state funded instead of funded by the community they are in which is how it should be.

The screen shot is from your link.

Of course its not all sources of funding. I used it as an example of funding for LSU vs. other institutions.

Right, and keep telling yourself LSU doesn't receive the majority of state funds.

It's the flagship school and the biggest school in the state of course it is going to get state funding, but this is a sports board and the original argument was about the athletic department getting money for home games. The athletic department does not receive state money.

I don't have to tell myself, the legislature's budget reports tell me that you're wrong.

Unlike you, I actually post links which support what I've written.
