IMO, Breaux has a better arm than Duplantis, that's why I prefer him in RF. You know Paul will play Jordan in LF again this season so the only OF spot left is CF. If Duplantis continues to hit, you have to have him in the lineup. Freeman and K-Rob will just have to take relays further out. I thought Deichmann was just starting to become a decent 1st baseman near the end of last season. Unless one of the newcomers is a 6'5" lefty who can hit 15 HR, I'd just leave Greg at 1st.

Adams is a 6'4 guy who hit really well this summer. I thought he was an option last year until I saw him hit in the fall and almost strike out twice vs Grambling.

I think that's Watson, but Slaughter can move too.

He did have a really good summer. But he didn't really reduce his strikeout rate, which is concerning. Since we seem to be built on a high contact rate approach (we were one of the hardest to strike out as a team last year) that could be a reason for Adams to not get ABs.

Ultimately though I think his lack of ABs last season had more to do with him grounding into two DPs in one game than his strikeout rate.

ETA: .308/.375/.433 slash line with a 24% K rate. .378 wOBA in 57 games.

Also, for no good reason I would just like to say that Mike Papierski was his summer team's leadoff hitter in most of the games he played.

I want to use Sierre Skye, but I'm not willing to sacrifice PJ in baseball threads.

What's difficult to understand?

This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains.

Why does PM hate players taller than him?

Considering that PM is 5'8" then you are saying he hates every player on his team????

Watson is correct. Mainieri says Zach Watson is probably the fastest runner on the team this year. He was a four-year starter at West Ouachita High School and hit over .400 each year with 31 career homeruns. His senior year he hit 10 homeruns and batted .481 and used his speed to steal 28 bases that season.

The incoming recruiting class includes three players who played quarterback on their school's football team, INF/C Rankin Woley from Atlanta where they won the state championship in their class, RHP Eric Walker from Arlington, Texas and RHP Matthew Beck from Alexandria HS. Beck threw 40 touchdown passes his senior year.

I'm with you, bud. Third base coaching is the weakest link.
