Feb 1st-C Mike Papierski
Will he hit .250 this year?

Papierski you’re getting a phenomenal defensive catcher

Wow, that's high praise. Everyone said that last season and he was pretty good but not any better than Romero (except for the one series JR shite the bed). I hope you're right

Thanks for your previews, great work, very appreciated.

I think he'll be around there. He's almost too patient at the plate.

Let's not forget that Adam said in last year's preview that Pap was a better hitter than Romero.

He's the more well rounded defensive catcher, Romero has a superb arm as well but the receiving end needs improvement. The key with Romero is developing consistency. For his sake I'm hoping his shoulder injury isn't a lingering one.

I'm not hiding. I admitted in my piece I was off with my projection of where Papierski would be offensively a season ago. To be frank he just had a miserable time at the plate from the get go, never found a rhythm and then found himself behind Romero till Jordan hit his struggles.

If he can be a 0.275 with occasional power at the lower half of the order Mainieri can't be upset over that.

You sound jealous that somebody else is talking baseball that's not you. Adam would have to shite on players and the coaches to get your approval.

It was to make a point that we're all wrong in our predictions. Hell, I was way off about Pap's first year. Adam knows the drill and he plays along. There's no jealousy or animosity. I'd ignore the thread if it bothered me at all.

Same here, I respect ell's knowledge of the game even if/when we have different opinions.

I thought he was going to take a larger step forward last year as well. I thought after a year he'd be used to the catching part and the hitting would fall into place. I'm just hopeful that it happens this year. I think it will.

He had his own share of defensive struggles. At one time, Romero did seem to be the better defensive and offensive option. But it was smart to keep Pap involved as he struggled through. Was huge at the end.

60 is too high. 50 is more accurate.

shite, Gibbs is going to teach him to rake from both sides of the plate and people will say he was underrated going into this season. Nothing wrong with a little hope.
