Baseball is stuck in the mud

It’s obvious. The program needs an infusion of new life and new ideas. Thank Paul for his time and 2009 and move on. His same old song and dance each year is stale and this program has been passed by half the league.

It’s crazy how he has parallels to Les’s career. It’s truly time for him to go.

Not an infusion of life. Rather, situational awareness and big picture perspective.

Can we at least wait till conference play before the fire pawl chants start up

Incoming baseball fans parroting the same lines.
“Baseball isn’t like football or basketball, you don’t win every game”

Things that have been stuck in the mud

i watch other games, and our players are just so damn tight. The body language is noticeable. It doesnt even look like they are having fun most of the time

It shows that none of you actually played baseball. Jesus Christ its the second game of the year coming off of a 350 day lay off. if the pitching stays healthy than we have an absolutely stellar 3 man rotation that will be facing the best of the competition on the weekends. There were 4 errors and too many walks in that 2nd game, this is the exception not the norm, it will be fixed. The play out of the freshman have been great in the first 2 games and that is actually a damn good sign. Take a deep breath and just watch and try to enjoy it.

This program is a shell of what it used to be. Sad.

My guard is still up after getting no-hit last season. 12 Ks to Air Force isn’t reassuring.

How is he like Les? I always see people saying he’s Les 2.0 but no one ever gives examples how he’s Les 2.0

I agree, but he did try to lay down a bunt yesterday with runners on 1st and 2nd, no outs and needing a run. Normally would let the kid hit into a double play right there.

Since Cannizaro left, no doubt.

Ummm........... How about the whole starting rotation on the weekends? You just spoke of removing 4 guys in a 9 man starting line up, so you are good with 45% of our starting line up already, it takes 1-2 more guys becoming consistent then you have lineup that 65-70% consistent with one of the best weekend starting rotations in the league.

I am asking about the lineup.
Everyone knows the pitching will be fine.
Do you think the left side of the infield is ready to play defense at the caliber that these great pitchers need?

First off you are removing the top 4 of the lineup. Do that to any team and see what they look like. Secondly I like Milazzo at catcher, Arnold at short and the pitching is good. I refuse to let the 9th inning with a true freshman making his first appearance and a guy that will never be more than a bullpen depth guy walking 4 guys change that.

Well everyone wanted to fire Dunn at various points of the last 5 years too

The crowd is limited to 25%, the temperatures at times have been near freezing, we’ve played two games in February and it’s time to declare things are stale?
We might need a new guy in charge, but it’s way too early to throw in the towel on the season. We have a ton of front line pitching. Two freshmen have shown up ready to go. We seem to have a guy at SS ready to go. No, everything isn’t perfect, but there’s no reason to give up on this team. None whatsoever.
