Will be interesting to see if the “arm soreness” issues continue this year with probably the deepest staff PM has had.
The good news is that the arm soreness has been a freshman thing in the past and this season, our staff hardly has any freshman

I am almost willing to bet, with CAM at the helm, and Dunn messing up pitcgers, we will underachieve yet again. Miles an Cam all over again.

Any word about a front runner for closer? I remember Devin Fontenots electric performance in the supers that almost pulled it out for us. Dude was an absolute warrior.

Probably Fontenot, to start at least, if I had to guess. Then from there, it just depends on the ultimate goal for Hill and/or how Fontenot is performing. Hill coming in blowing 97 mph gas in the 9th would work nice.
Maybe their ultimate plan is to very slowly stretch him out and work back into the starting role. If that's the case, he obviously won't be the full time closer. If there is zero plan to start him, maybe he works his way towards closing. The reason I say he won't start off there is because I don't think they will let him throw an inning Friday and an inning Sunday to start out.

I’d assume it’s Fontenot’s to lose but I’ll wait until Adam tells us

I wonder if Fontenot could be the guy we turn to if we absolutely need an out(s) no matter the inning and they have Hill develop as closer

My guess is that it will depend on a bunch of factors. We have options, which should be a wonderful thing.
My wish is that Fontenot is looking sharp as the closer, and doesn't lose the role. Then Labas and Marceaux are doing so well as starters that Hill can't get back in.

What I find interesting is that you continue to be negative about every single thing LSU, that isn't directly tied to Orgeron.
You shite on Aranda all season, until you looked like a complete fool.
As soon as LSU trails in a basketball game, you are bashing Wade.
Now I guess it will carry into baseball.
Your BS has been exposed. You have rapidly moved up the list of worst posters on this board.

LSU should win the natty this year with our pitching depth. Unfortunately I don't have any confidence in CPM or Dunn to keep them healthy.

Because of one year of abnormal pitching injuries? Give me a break.

Do you have any clue about the pitching depth of other teams in the SEC?

Yeah. I like how he just thinks lsu far and away has the best staff. UGA has a oretty insane staff as well

I wish we wouldnt get so hung up for defined roles in the bullpen. Would rather have 2 closers, and ride the hot hand in the 7th until the 9th if necessary. Nothing with pitching grinds my gears more than having a defined setup guy in the 8th, and then just going to the closer in the 9th when the guy from the 8th mowed them down

Yep plus I’m pretty sure A$M or Miss st or both have sophomores who turned down like 1st round cash somehow to pitch for homo u and redneck u

Gotta think Hilliard and/or Walker for midweek starters Add in Beck, Storz, Hill, Hasty, Costello out of the pen and Fontenot as closer...
