Exactly there’s such things as 50/50 games. We’ve won 50/50 games against SE and MSU but guys on here just want to point out the 50/50 Florida loss. Like I get that LSU isn’t a terrible team and we need some patience/perspective but “what ifs” are pathetic. I cringe every time an LSU fan uses them. Should be beneath us.

One flip of a coin play and we get swept by MSU. Got 10 runned twice. “Oh but it would’ve been different had Bingham caught the ball” So you mean the plays that happen in the game, end up determining the outcome?!?!?! No way!! Stop with the what ifs.

Cute.
But the florida game wasnt a 50/50 game. The florida game was pretty much dominated by lsu, outhit them 8-4. It was stolen. It was a 90-10 game. Miss st and lsu was pretty even.
But clearly you are a results guy only, no nuances

Probably can't even tie their shoes. Guess it's time to lock up the Park. Just go home.

I’m so sick of hearing about early in the season. This is SEC play. This team can’t hit, pitch, or play the field.

I said this in a game thread and got mauled...suerte.

We clearly have two different definitions of domination. It is true we had 11 hits to their 8. But you don't get points for how many times your bat touches the ball, you get points for how many times your foot touches home plate (called 'runs'). Sometimes a 'hit' can be a meaningless two out single that doesn't yield any runs. Sometimes you can hit a ball over the fence with a runner already on base in the 11th inning and it can give you two go-ahead runs and you can end up winning the game. Thats how baseball works

Struggling is an understatement. This team just isn't that good.

As bad as it is, we are a weird fluke bounced ball on a strike 3 from being 3-3 in the SEC.

DOES ANYONE REMEMBER LAST YEAR when we literally couldn’t get an out through the mid season slump. Like got run ruled and it was the only reason the game stopped. We won the World Series in amazing fashion. Y’all need to chill the F out. Dear god.

You are comparing apples to bananas. 2 totally different teams, last year was lead by a bunch of 3rd-4th-5th year Louisiana kids.
And you had the 2 best players in the country in Crewes and Skenes.
This team lacks that alpha leader and showed very little heart in that loss in Sunday, Coach Johnson even called it out.

You go back and look at all the championship teams, and the heart and soul of those teams was louisisnan kids.
Beloso, Dugas, Jobert, Morgan-2023
Nola, Mahtook, Mitchell, Landry -2009
Theriot, Barbier, Fontenot, Gomez-2000
And in and on. Those kids grew up going to the camps, watching games at the old box
It just meant more to them. And it showed.
This team hasn’t shown that grit yet

Ehh

I'd probably put Coleman, Ranaudo, Dean, LeMahieu, Gibbs, Ochinko in that conversation before a pair of freshmen and a guy who basically lost his starting job.

Milazzo and Travinski are far and away the leaders of this team, and they're both Louisiana as it comes.

This is more about hitting and pitching than it is about leadership, imo.

Don't waste your breath man. Can't you see the season's over? We lost 2 SEC series and have 8 more to play but everyone has seen enough!

According to everyone here we can't play baseball! I mean we can't hit, field, pitch. This squad just isn't that good! I mean I know we're 20-6, but we might as well be 6-20!

This thread has solidified that LSU fans are the biggest pussies in college baseball. Easy to be a fan when we win, but at the first sign of adversity they turn their backs and run their mouths. Has South Louisiana always been this soft?
