It's Arkansas, clearly Clinton's fault.
You've nailed it.
Bush did it to make it look like it was Clinton's fault.
No way, after 8 years MSM has clearly tried shown that Bush was incapable of such. Dick Chaney on the other hand, all he has to do is look at the sky to make it storm.

Did it ever quit raining in Fayettevile last night for a significant amount of time?

I don't think LSU flew up there, so I don't know if there will be any time restraints. They may try to start as early as possible tomorrow since I heard both schools have finals next week. If one or both of today's games are postponed and there are time restraints that I don't know about, you could definitely look for an early start with two 7-iining games planned for tomorrow. I'm not sure if the weather tomorrow is supposed to be much better, however.

this is ridiculous. they're gonna have to make up this series. it says in the sec baseball bylaws that games deciding the sec champion have to be made up. well, both of these two teams are well in the race for sec champion. they should just do a 3, 7 inning games in the midweek the week after exams are over, which i believe is the week before the SEC tournament

being a student at LSU, I will tell you that Finals are next week. And 7 inning double header may not be bad for LSU at all!!! Imagine that we pitch Coleman and AR for 7 innings and thus not getting into middle relief, that would be awesome

I think it's a little strange that they're playing Game2 of the Florida-Georgia series before finishing the end of Game1.
Seems to me you'd want to go ahead and get Game 1 over with before moving onto Game2.

I'm not here to correct you or anything, but I started a thread last night and Carl Dubois intervened and told us that if they can't play the games this weekend, the don't play the games and cannot be made up.

Is it raining now. Looks like they have time to get in a game right now??? I know it isn't going to happen now. I think the people making these decisions are brain dead. Wait for a break and then play after the warm up!

Game 2 is being televised...therefore couldn't finish Game 1 before that. Sounds like Fayetteville logic to me, but that's the deal.

Will CST bring the game at 5:00?

quote:The guys on TV said something about there having to be an hour between games (I didn't think that was the rule, but that's what they said). They didn't want to start at 10 and then stop at 11, with the TV game starting at noon, so they decided to finish game 1 after game 2.
Seems to me you'd want to go ahead and get Game 1 over with before moving onto Game2.

Funny thing is I pulled up the SEC By-Laws, the same one's the other guy is talking about, but SEC meant Southeast Conference and not Southeastern Conference.
From Carl Dubois himself:
I asked Charles Bloom if it's as simple as my explantion last night, that if a series is washed out, it's washed out. Here is his reply for the benefit of the board:
"Carl – It’s as simple as that. There are no makeups after the last day of a series. The SEC uses winning percentages to determine championships and seeding."
Hope this helps clarify things. Looks like it could be a lost weekend in Fayetteville.

having to be an hour between games
There is usually 45 minutes between games, but they can't start an inning after midnight. So, if they started at 5pm and assuming each game lasted just 3 hours, with 45 minutes in between, that would put finish time at 11:45pm, which is cutting it close.
