Absolutely no mention of us. List includes Auburn, Ole Miss, Vandy, Texas A&M and Florida from the SEC.

As you know, there's no logical reason to mention us for 2016. Not that a big season isn't possible though.

Wtf
We should always be mentioned.
Our pitching will be beast, regardless how much veteran hitting we lose. Why om? Most those teams have key losses as well.

Yes but we are replacing literally everyone else except for Fraley. To say we are going to omaha this early without watching how we play would be a big stretch.

Junk.... Personally I think we make it with a .250 team bat ave. I also think we can hit .300 or better on the year. With that pitching staff we should be at worst 3rd in the entire SEC. Vandy and FL will be right there again. I heard all that hoopla about recruiting from Paul but LSU can recruit toe to toe with Vandy or we should be anyway!!

Baseball America just gave Paul his first excuse.

They could have put us in a supers at least but putting us in Omaha is a bit of a stretch this early. We hardly know anything about this team right now.

2016 pitching will keep us in games but the lack of leadership and experience offensively will probably put the team on the edge for postseason.

No one knows how good the team will be defensively.

Yeah I want to believe pitching will carry us to Omaha but there's no way to know until we see more.

We weren't in their list of 8 last year either.

I don't have a problem with this. An outsider sees a team with an AA pitcher and a decent pitcher and that is all. They also see a team replacing 8 of 9 bats and several excellent defensive players. If they look at the BAs of the returning players, other than Zardon and Fraley, nobody stands out. If LSU makes it to a super, it will largely depend on unproven players at this point.

Doesn't mean it cannot happen, but on a precursory look, it is doubtful.

UCLA won it with pitching and small ball.

Our staff will be great if Latz can get right.

that's a very big if. And probably also played into them not putting us in.

I don't think Latz throws a single pitch at LSU

Even without Latz we have a potential dominant 3 pitcher staff with the addition of McKay

McKay and a potentially healthy Latz, we will have ridiculous pitching.

..and with Bain, Newman, Godfrey, Stallings, etc, we will be very pitching dominant.
