Barring meltdown, Alexander won't allow Miles to be fired

the problem is that Alexander's issue with firing Miles last season had absolutely nothing to do with the facts.
it was ideological. he had issues with the principle. Alexander wasn't going to allow anyone associated with LSU to spend millions to fire a coach and millions to hire another one when the state/university budget is so fricked.
that isn't going to change this year just because they'll have to spend a few millions less. it's an optics problem and if Miles goes 9-3 or 10-2 and LSU goes to a nice bowl the media is never gonna grab onto the "Why isn't LSU ever better than 10-2 no matter how much talent they have?" narrative.
if they do 8-4 or worse i think that might be different, but anyone who thinks LSU is really going to go 7-5 or something is just talking out of frustration.

lol, this is a 5 loss team easy. sorry to burst your bubble.

Then they need to pressure on him with his arse on the line. I'm sure if boosters donated a nice share of money to academics he'd probably end up keeping his mouth shut anyway. But you're right, it's a politics problem not money for us. Until someone puts pressure on Alexander he's not going to budge from the Miles saga unless we have a disaster season.
I feel bad for wanting that but at this point, I do because it's never going to get better with Miles here. I'm sorry ,it's just not and LSU is going to have to suffer in the short term for it to ever get better. That's a fact.

they'll lose to Ole Miss and Bama, but Florida isn't worth a shite and neither are Auburn or Arkansas. This is LSU under Les Miles so they could easily lose all 3 of those but i doubt it.

he should but he's already shown that he won't, regardless of what effects firing Miles would've had on the university materially, which were zero.

Jindal is out of office. King can do what he wants now

Arkansas wasn't WAS the last two years they skull-drugged LSU, once at home. R-Kansas is a loss.

Jindal had been a lame duck for at least a year when all that shite went down. Alexander could've told Jindal to get fricked if he wanted to. That shite wasn't about Jindal.

The university budget has nothing to do with Miles salary.
But it sounds like Alexander is the second coming of Joe Dean.

Alexander is first on the list. This POS needs to work at a school on the left coast.

i'm aware of this.
you're aware of this.
TAF is aware of this.
ESPN is not aware of this..
it's an optics issue. Firing Miles was the right move, except ESPN thought it was crazy to fire a guy who can't run a major college football program because all they see is the records and Alexander was afraid that people would question him when he asked for more money/less cuts.
Plus Alexander is too stupid to realize that boosters spending money to fire Miles would've made no difference to the Louisiana Legislature.
For one, they're all corrupt as shite and two, the majority of them are LSU fans.

If I was a major booster that contributed money to their academics as well as athletics, I'd tell him to frick off and don't expect anymore checks until he's willing to accept the proposed buyout bid on Miles. Measures like that would chap his arse and eventually force his hand especially if the situations doesn't improve at the university with his own arse on the line. When he's losing potentially millions in donations, it will start to mount as a problem. Then again, LSU has a very weak alumni base as far as big donations go compared to some other big universities so maybe not so much. Either way, need to find a way to put pressure on him.
Like I said, you're going to have to make LSU suffer in order to get any change within the football program. Nobody who supports the program is going to like it but it's a necessary to get anything done. Stop buying tickets, empty their seats, start depleting the revenue for athletic department, stop donating money to them. Plain and simple. I'm not going to any LSU games and I'm not donating money to TAF. I might be small fry in this matter but if enough people did it they'd have to take notice. Hopefully some bigger boosters will stop donating money to both.

What does it take to get King removed or pressure applied to him. To me the problem with LSU Football is more than just the coach, it starts all the way at the top, the AD, the coach, and a divided booster organization. We need a wholesale change.

Arkansas hasn't been worth a shite for like 10 years and still beats LSU every year. They're going to go in the tank. Only 2 sec games i have penciled in as wins right now are mizzou and state because they're both GOD awful, at a level even les can't frick up

F King will not be a problem, the money will be raised and the optics favor LSU, Miles got another chance per public opinion and shite the bed. He is done.

I do agree w/ him that last year, rounding up what would have amounted to over 20 mil was probably a bad look
but frick it, i don't even care, it was time to make the move.

you have zero clue wtf you are talking about. If things go bad, which at this point they are trending that way Miles is gone.
Stop running around here acting like you know what will happen. You don't. So stfu
