Was on campus this weekend - for parents weekend - and was told they’re officially set for a new basketball arena by 2026.

I know LSU’s MBB sucks right now, but Woodie and Co. better have a brand new arena in the works soon.

And the Dell Diamond baseball stadium looked damn nice, too! Wish LSU would change some of their Alex Box areas soon, too.

So you start a thread bitching about a lack of improvements on LSU’s campus, while presumably sending your child and money to the University of Alabama?

Woodward doesn't give a single frick about basketball despite being the second highest grossing sport on campus with insane potential. He's fine with getting a handy man to go out and patch the PMAC roof.

As long as his donations keep coming in for TAF, dude is out of sight and out of mind

My child chose to go to UA. It’s school of business ranks higher than LSU’s (Tulane and Auburn) and he’s wanting to chart his own life, and wants to get a double degree in E&F. I’m not a “helicopter parent” - and didn’t direct any of my kids. One went to LSU, and is now at UGA, the other chose La Tech and will go out of state for a masters

I don’t think so. But from what they told me, they renovated it about 20 years ago, and are now building a totally new facility.

It’s what I want LSU to do!!!!

I just spent three hours in the PMAC and there is not a damn thing a new arena would make any better. The place was electric, the crowD was engaged and the women's basketball team was feeding off the emotion and energy in the building. All a new sterile state of the art facility would do is cater to the fat cigar mouths who want to be privileged. No doubt fancy suites will be built around the perimeter and capacity will be reduced from 15,000 to 10,000 and many of the current fans will be priced out. Put the funds into upgrades and maintenance but keep the Deaf Dome.

You’re like a lot of people. I had a hard time with his decision - then I went to their campus, drove around Tuscaloosa, and met with his advisors in the school of business.

Our deal was, “make less than a 3.0, and you’re pulled back to BR”

He’s now a freshman in a fraternity and on the Deans list (3.85) majoring in finance and economics

I can’t bitch - and their campus is a lot safer than LSU’s ….currently.

Now that we’ve established that you funnel money to other schools rather than LSU, care to share what you’ve done in the last 10 years to help fund the improvements at LSU that Woodward “better have in the works”?

Yeah don’t get this one. I don’t think it’s fair to bitch about LSU not improving while your pockets are helping a rival school move ahead.

I appreciate you letting your kids make their own choices- I’m the product of bama grads… but please don’t try to tout UA business degree lol

You and me maybe in the minority but I agree. Just renovate the shite out of it. If you’re going to build something new, spend the money in a practice facility. That’s basically what Wade said was the next step.

Member of TAF since 1996. Season ticket holder for MBaseball MBasketball.

I’ve given as much as is deserved at times, and as much as I shouldn’t have in others.

Anyone who knows me, knows the LSU fan that I am since 1975 at my 1st event - which happened to be men’s basketball!!!!

I want the best for LSU, over ALL other schools. But I’m not a millionaire (as far as cash flow).

But what I want before LSU, is the best for my family

Honestly, if you truly look at the state we’re in, the BEST is not here for my family.

I point things out, b/c I see what the “Jones’s” have, and I want LSU 10 x better than the Jones’s

Some of you can understand that. Some of you are ok with just “Sportsman’s Paradise” - the way your paw, your grandpaw and all your “baws” think
