That's exactly my point. We wait until it's too late to actually do it, when you should have been working on it the whole season.
You knew you were not going to beat Bama being one-dimensional. Everybody on this board knew it. So why not work on route timing, passes that require touch, screens, short routes, etc. against your other opponents? Why not work on opening up the offense just a little? Then your QB and receivers would gain the kind of confidence needed to execute it on the road in BDS.
You work on it, even when you don't need it, because you know without a doubt you will need it against Bama.
