On April 16,1998 Naeshall Menard tragically took his own life. A reserve LSU player he was thought to see significant playing time in 1998. This began a string of issues that led to the fall of until then very successful Gerry Dinardo. The 1998 team was very highly thought of pre season but later losing Cecil Collns in the offseason and despite returning almost all key starters from. 9-3 team the Tigers lost late and close to UGA and then UK at home. The team never recovered and after another losing season in 1999 Dinardo was fired before 1999 season was even over. From 3 straight Bowl wins to fired in 23 months.

So was it bad karma that began with a tragic suicide or just bad luck. I lived out of State and still don't know what happened to Dinardo, lots of theories, but just curios if it was just bad karma that started with a young man taking his life.

Lou Tepper happened to Dinardo. And he was so stubborn that he refused to admit to what the whole world could see was a problem. Much like Miles did with BDP and the kick off deal last year. Dinardo went down with Tepper standing at the front of the ship

Chemistry in coaching staff an in ad office was major deal, but some of it was just bad luck, Morris watts was no great coach....one stop on 3rd and long vs uga and maybe none of,it happens....

This could be the biggest hurdle for LSU this year. BDP is not a good coach, and despite a poor track record, Miles brought him back.

Also Gerry's idiotic decision to only dress out guys who were likely to play destroyed team morale. The "players" understood how important dressing and being in T.S. was for the guys that help them prepare for the games.

Gerry achieved a true trifecta. He lost the team, the staff, and the administration.

Quadfecta. His stubbornness and negligence also contributed to the loss of the Fans. (Alums, Power Brokers and Common Civilians that didn't attend the University)

Same thing could very well happen this season if Miles is stubborn and refuses to do what needs to be done in order to beat Rammer Jammer & win the West/SEC.

No more excuses at this point. It's swim or sink now.

1. You're using "karma" in the wrong context.
2. Karma is bullshite.
3. You're essentially asking if it's that that guy's fault that the football team sucked. What the hell is wrong with you?

DiNardo ran off 2 stellar coordinators and replaced them with his bbq buddies. Reese in 98 and Watts in 99
