This kid was raised by the LSU family of coaches and players. His dad played a part in getting CBK hired as the home run head coach hire for LSU. For him to say going to Auburn is best for him and his family , what does this say about the LSU program? I'm not mad he didn't go to LSU , I'm more concerned as to why this is best for his family.

It doesn’t say anything about the LSU program. Auburn is worse off than LSU so the program has nothing to do with it.

Losing Raymond is going to have this kind of impact this year. It’s short term though.

It’s just a high school kid giving an announcement. Of course he will say that. It’s likely that he just wants to go and do his own thing. Some people want to break away from the family ties deal.

It's amazing some people on here think they are entitled to this information and that it should make sense to them as well.

If he spent four years attending University High School, he probably wants a change of scenery, to be on his own, and without his parent walking around the same university everyday.

Obviously it means we need to shut it down and never play football again

Don’t blame the kid. He’s lived here his entire life. A change in scenery is something he probably needs. Of course, Auburn, Alabama wouldn’t be the new scenery I’d choose. Drew Bianco left Ole Miss to come to LSU. Kids want to get away from parents sometimes

He let his kid make his own decision. Simple as that. Kid could hit the transfer portal if it doesn't go well. Don't burn bridges.

Because he let his kid make his own choice? What a joke.

Yes. I had a recruit very close to me and the father who is at home and involved is who the kid will confide in and take advise from above everyone. Esp one that has played college football. Verge steered this kid to a divisional rival. Verge didn't let this kid make the choice, he led him there. An ex-player who is employed by LSU? We may rationalize this but the optics are horrible. So yea fire his rape covering-up arse now!

Is it now time to stop giving verge a pass and sent him on his way? He was culpable and all the bullshite that’s been going on the program

It probably is best for him. I’m sure they read TigerDroppings. How would you like to read crap about you, your kid and his friends all the time?
