Using it as an example. Not a measuring stick. But you already knew that.

I guess he doesn't like us not waving our pom poms and patting everyone on the back in his rah rah thread.

I'm more banking on the classic vaunted Kevin Steele defense having a collapse in the 2nd half which starts the downward spiral for the rest of AU's season. It may be a long shot, but it's not like Kevin Steele defenses haven't historically done this time after time. If you adjust to it and can exploit it, Kevin Steele has a really hard time with in-game adjustments.

Example of what exactly? Another mediocre season?

Yep. We saw it all year in 2015. Great opening game plan and then he fails to adjust properly. It's why I called Auburn a first half team along with their offense style.

At this point, is there anything to suggest that Troy isn't better than Florida?

No, I guess not. Troy should likely be in the SEC

Are you asking if there's a difference in putting the game away on your last possession vs. punting and giving the opponent one last shot to win it? Do you honestly want me to answer that question?

So yes? That would have made you think the team improved? Yea I want you to answer

I just want DV full of tiger fans that still believe in this team and won't boo them at halftime.

Apparently you're asking for too much here. I'm with you fwiw.

I’m sure it’s been covered but didn’t Troy take Clemson to the wire last year? With the same team basically with more experience?

True. 30-24 at Clemson. Then they later got blown out at home by Arkansas State 35-3. Go figure.

Auburn struggled with Mercer earlier in the season and turned the ball over 5 times. I watched some of that game and Stidham was getting tattooed by the Mercer rush. They are playing much better now.

Dude.

They gave up against Mississippi State

They didn't even show up vs Troy

This team is playing with heart, physicality, and intensity. LSU has the talent to stack up with mostly anyone in the country when they actually want to win

Why do you assume the team that showed up to Gainesville is the norm and not the anomaly?

It would have shown confidence in Etling and the offense to put the game out of reach. Instead, LSU started trying to burn clock with 7 minutes left in a 1 point game. So yes, scoring a touchdown on LSU's final possession would give me more reason to say they are improving. They didn't though, did they?

Does that adequately answer your hypothetical?

Player interviews.

Everything changed after they lost to Troy

If it's the same team that showed up against Mercer we have a chance.

If it's the same team that showed up against Moo State, we are screwed.

So after receiving his "dream job", which is likely his last shot at ever being a head coach, it took Orgeron a blowout loss to State and an embarrassing loss to fricking Troy for him to get his players to play up to their potential?

That bodes well for the future.

You realize I'm not an O supporter right? I don't think he's a good coach.

So where does the next source of motivation come from when the embarrassment from losing to Troy wears off?

A team that needs external stimuli to start giving a frick isn't one that's going to be able to perform at a consistent level.
