"Guys, Baton Rouge in September? Maybe we should consider the heat and humidity factor."

this logic would rule out A&M, Ole Miss, Miss. St., Auburn, Bama, Georgia, Florida

Our fans need to nut up...most of those teams I mentioned play day games in sept.

How are people arguing about something that hasn't happened yet?

wont even be close to how hot App state was...

It felt like a hole had opened up at midfield that went straight to the core of the earth.

I saw a documentary once where Kevin Bacon went to the core of the earth.

LSU vs Florida State 1983. It felt like they were playing this game on the sun. Of course we were a lot tougher than you pansies today so we stayed the whole game and didn't bitch about the heat.

The game that started early due to everyone having to evacuate for Hurricane Gustav was pretty damn hot also.

Just looked it up, it was 92 degrees in Baton Rouge for App State, with a 10 AM kickoff. By noon it literally felt like the stadium was descending into hell it was so hot. There was no wind in the stadium and 65% humidity. Absolutely miserable experience except for the Tigers winning of course.

Just saw this after I posted, that was the one I was talking about.....miserable!!

Well, we can always hope for a lightening strike in Tupelo....that way they can just cancel this whole thing before any just dies.

Yall remind me of the moms of Tball parents. It gets over 82 degrees and they tote in two gallons of Gatorade for little Billy, slather him with sun block goo, and come check on him every 5 minutes.

Texas A & M in the early 90s is the benchmark. It was around noon or 1 PM. Stadium ran out of ice before half and thats before bottled water was being sold. For the 2nd half in the northeast corner there were only 2 people left in my section. EMS was carrying people out on stretchers. For people that dont spend a lot of time in the heat tomorrow will be very dangerous.

I seem to remember that game sitting in that Northeast corner. I think Leland McElroy had about 250 all purpose yards for A&M and it was extremely hot as that was the day I found out as a college kid that Taaka Vodka and Old English 800 and humidity in the middle of the day in south Louisiana don't mix that well.
