1) Les's 2007 national championship is not a get out of jail card for eternity. To hard core Tiger fans, it was an eternity ago.

2) The last 3 years are what LSU fans are predominantly considering. You guys are stating the overall record, and we are much closer to the real "ongoings", and we are looking at the dominant trends since 1/9/12. Look it up. A LOSING RECORD IN THE SEC-WEST IS UNACCEPTABLE over a 3-year span. It is not just a bad season. It is a bad 3-year span. Also, once again, LSU did not just lose the last 3 games. LSU got completely outclassed the last 3 games.

3) You may want him for media content/material, but we don't care about that. We are looking at his pattern of regression. His entertainment value does not drive our opinion. We deal with it, and try to make the most of it, but we can learn to do without it. Easily.

4) Miles is a great man. We are proud of Les the man, who does wonderful things. That can be additive to a solid coaching job for his 5 Million/year, but it cannot be the basis for keeping him. That would be silly. We might as well hire Pope Francis is that is the thought process.

5) LSU FANS - Name me ANY SCHOOL THAT has a top-3 state in NFL talent per capita and does not have any Big-5 conference competition in said state. Don't you think we should expect to NOT get pummeled by an un-ranked Arkansas team 2 years in a row. Go look up the talent differential on 24/7 or Rivals or EPSN. Our expectations ARE COMMENSURATE with the talent, stadium, program stature, etc...You guys are fools if you do not realize this.

6) LSU fans are worn out on Miles. The good guy effect is great, but that does not make up for the frustration. A national championship in 2007, almost 8 full seasons ago, is not something to point to. Look at how UT let Mack Brown use such logic to lower them. Mack was allowed to stay too long. We want better. We were watching. Screw politics. We are about football.

7) Gamble accepted - We know what "the media" thinks about Miles. We know football, and we sure know LSU football orders of magnitude better than the spread-too-thin media. We know what we are asking for, and we predominantly are willing to take our chances. LSU has been on national tv almost every week for the last decade. The LSU football brand is much more attractive that it was pre-Saban and pre-Miles. We'll take our chances that a strong coach will be our man.

8) We don't respect most of the media. It is as if you don't do your homework, and you just seek to say provocative or homer-esque things. Good for you. We don't care what you say. We are the ones paying a LOT for season tickets, Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) fees and dealing with traffic and parking. You are, meanwhile, in the studio and getting paid to do your job. Good for you. Leave us alone. We are LSU.

Point #5 is your strongest by far

Our talent pipeline is too strong to accept 7-9 vs the West since 2013

7-9 gets you fired in the NFL

I missed the part where you pointed out the home run hire and how a moron like Alleva is going to avoid hiring mistakes like every other school seems to have done with the exception of a few?

Just have no clue what makes some of you frickers think you are spokesmen for everyone, and that anyone gives a flying shite what you post. Do you really think any media folks are reading this and having any sort of epiphany?

I don't get the animosity between the fans. I believe we all want the same thing, for LSU to win. I understand people's feelings for Les. He is obviously a great person that just about everyone loves. He has done wonderful things for LSU. I don't know many fans who would disagree with this. Many fans just feel the program has become stagnant over the past several years and honestly, I believe that even Les knows this as well. He openly stated that he didn't know what to do to fix the issues. He knows hard nose old school tough as nails football. The game has changed recently and that style of football is just no longer the dominate force it once was (unless you have a tremendously good D to go with it). I honestly believe football is going to evolve completely to a score fest style game eventually. Most football watchers love seeing those big play, high score games. I love a good defensive slugfest personally. One of my favorite games ever was the 6 to 9 Bama game. Pure defensive slugfest.

I think they all know that he has been good for the school regardless of the past few years. I know some may not have always liked him but you really can't argue that we got a lot of recruits because of him.

It took a miracle in 07, they still lost two games they shouldn't have.

8) Name other programs on LSUs level, or even a bit lower, that would trade their HC for ours.

There's no reason why we can't have a 2011-type defense again - the team two states east is doing it right now.

I posted this yesterday, I feel likewise with you and other fans who feel its time for a change.

He has really maintained what Saban brought back to the program, although I am not a Saban apologist (he left us for Miami not Alabama). Les has an incredible record as our coach for these last 11 years but what Miles apologists are missing is what most are saying here. The last 5 years is what he is being judged on and if you look at the repeated patterns (especially on the offensive side of the ball) and continuing the lack of development for QBs, slipping on recruiting, the man is the singular problem with this.

Jamarcus was the last good QB we had, guess who he had his tutelage from? JIMBO, THATS right, Skyler Green, Devery Henderson, Michael Clayton, Mauck, Joseph Addai, remember how those players and our bruising offense made you feel in Death Valley? It was under JIMBO

People we were LUCKY to win the 2007 BCS Title, we had to have 3 teams lose in the same weekend and win the SEC title just to have a shot. We lost to two inferior teams (especially Arkansas at home) when that was arguably one of the best teams we've ever had. We were clearly the favorite that year in the country. Minus the Florida game, when was the last time we willed ourselves to a win and showed that mental toughness like the 2003 or this team? You know what analysts say about that team? ONLY TEAM TO WIN THE TITLE WITH 2 LOSSES, WHAT TYPE OF LEGACY IS THAT FOR THAT TEAM??? Ask yourself how was Miles the key to winning the title???

In 2011, we had an excellent chance at winning another national championship in our backyard for the 3rd time in the last 10 years, and what do we do? We have no gameplan and get blasted at home and never even get past the 50. How is it that Jarrett Lee never even gets a chance in that game? How is it that JJ starts over Lee during the season when clearly the team was behind Lee??? Ask yourself, what did Miles do to get us there? He held us hostage for a raise for fricking Arkansas?? Really?

The poor clock management (2009 Ole Miss, 2013 Tennessee really?) Calling timeout in last weeks game at the end? Seriously? The penalties, the undisciplined teams and the slow starts, when is the last time we have we jumped on someone and kept the pedal down the whole
game?

You let Ryan Perriloux and Mathieu go but kept that abomination that was JJ including JJ getting drunk the night before the title game and getting dragged into the hotel by a senior DB along with all the seniors asking Miles before game to start Lee and that they would not play for JJ and yet he still did what he did to us. Laugh all you want, it meant alot for everyone in this state, we are PROUD, and frick you Bama fans, you are the same inside.

You turned down Bridgewater, Dak was just a TE, you got Russell Shepard for what? You hired Crowton and Cameron along with Peveto and we had to fricking beg for you to hire Orgeron (a recruiting legend and a man who truly loves this state), you hired a known failure at DC as our DC, the least qualified individual, its beyond ridiculous.

You let Eddie Lacy and Landon Collins leave our own backyard, they went to Dutch Town HS, 10 miles away from the campus, how do you let that happen?

We have had some great wins and nailbiters with Les and I thank him for what hes done for us in his 11 years but I have never seen an LSU team (yes I was there for the Dinardo years) get pushed around at night in Death Valley like we did against Arkansas and not recover, the way we lost to Bama and Ole Miss, the team isnt ready, this team doesnt show any passion or heart nor pride for our state. This has been the tune since 01/09/2012 and thats on Les, the program is in a downslide and its real people. Ask yourself, how come Landry, Hunter, Kwon, Odell Beckham, Jeremy Hill and various other recent graduates are tearing it up in the NFL but played on mediocre LSU teams?

Before anyone calls me a negatiger, I supported Miles from day one and argued with many a good friends defending him and his legacy but you cant escape the facts and results, its time for a change and everyone knows it.

Lastly, I want everyone to look up how our state/university got the name "Fighting Tigers". Can Les Miles be considered a Fighting Tiger with his efforts and moves the last 5 years? Are you a proud Louisiana fighting tiger? I am and I am about my state, university and what is best for our program not Les Miles.

I didn't even read that novel of a post.

But what the hell is someone who has been a member for a month with 100 posts doing presuming to talk for the Rant much less to talk for "hard core Tiger fans"?

If judging my post history here makes me more or less of a "hardcore" fan on your opinion, then you sir are intellectually limited. Have you seen the amount of trolls on these boards with 1000s of posts? Are they hardcore Tiger fans or just trolls?
