Attendance record for regional in jeopardy?

Being that I live only an hour away from the MSU campus, I am hearing it is being promoted pretty hard by State that they want to get the Regional attendance record back from LSU this weekend. Saying they are expecting in excess of 15,000 on hand for tonight's game. Just thought this was interesting.

LSU can't get 15,000 fire marshall won't let that happen. There is only so many SRO LSU can sell.
MSU has no restrictions in their outfield, they can all congregate out there.

I don't know that they even hit the 10,000 mark for any game this season, even super bulldog weekend, but I guess it could happen tonight.
