I've watched it. Look at Simon's reaction. It was actually a great playcall and they fooled Tharold on that one. His body language tells you that it was on him.

Perhaps just disappointed it happened on his side. Anyway, agree to disagree.

He's starting as a true freshman for a reason. The coaching staff obviously has confidence in him. Given the recent history of true freshman seeing action and sometimes starting, (PP7, TM7, Reid), I have as much confidence in him as they do. They're obviously doing something right with recruiting and coaching these kids. DBU

Yep, pretty sure it was Martin that had coverage over the top on that play.

Simon clearly blew the assignment. He got fooled and even pointed at himself after the play. Simon knows he missed one. Won't happen again.

Collins gets worked on double moves. He's not nearly as good of a tackler as mills.

Mills passed him for those exact reasons.

No, Simon tried to jump the route. The wr ran an in and out. That play was not on the safety

He is playing great - especially for a true freshman. But, what does he have to do for you to really see his play as an area of strength going into a game instead of a question mark because of inexperience?

I think that if he plays on par with how he has played over the next 3 weeks, we are there. In other words, if he continues to shut guys down, make great plays, and create turnovers, I think it is possible that we can leave the Florida game feeling like we have 2 shutdown corners again. That's a big "IF" I know, but I think he is capable of being that guy this year.

DBU.

It's not too far of a stretch to say he has outplayed Simon to this point.

My two cents

I just watched it again. You may be right. Can't say for sure.

Are you kidding me? Collins caused two interceptions this week and has played like a stud in every game. I like them both, but every time I see Collins play I can't believe he's not starting.

Collins has missed considerably more tackles that you must nt have noticed. Sefarin Jenkins was burning him in the u dub game, while mills locked his arse down.

Collins has been getting worked on double moves ever since the spring game.

Collins did play better this game, but he isn't as good as mills.

The proof is in the depth chart.

Right. Can't say for sure unless the coverage is known. If they were in an underneath zone, then jumping the short route is the correct assignment. Of course, in that circumstance, he should probably try to get a bump on the outside guy to slow him down so the safety can get over.

Seeing the corner turn and run after the ball is thrown doesn't mean that he missed the coverage. He would do that regardless of the coverage. It MAY mean that, but not necessarily.

Anyway, regardless of that play, overall I think the corner's have played pretty well. More lapses at the safety position, I think. On the one TD, for example, Martin lost that big TE. Those mental mistakes are easily corrected, though. It'll just take a few games.

Consistent SEC play. He has done a good job thus far, but want to see more of the same with a little stronger competition.

Yeah, either way, that's one thing I like about playing some less than stellar OOC teams early in the season. Gives us a chance to tighten up some of that stuff before we get into SEC play.

When we play a quality quarterback with enough talent to match up with LSU and he holds up. Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas(if Tyler Wilson plays) and Bama are the true measuring sticks. The same could be said about Mettenberger it'll be interesting to see how he handles the pressure when we play Florida, Bama and South Carolina as well.

Funny story actually. I saw him one day around the quad. I asked him how our secondary looked this year and how it compared to last. He looked dead in my eye and said "I got this you mark arse bitch". I said "well, yes sir, but can I get a simple comparison?

He then told me "don't worry about my side, I got it covered". Then proceeded to jab me with his elbow and kept saying "get it? See what I did there?!"

It wasn't particularly funny but we laughed as if we were old friends. He told me that he was running this shite now. I asked him of it would be difficult losing Peterson, mo and tyrann consecutively... "frick no! I said I run this shite now! Are you deaf bitch?!"

When he was done I finished making him a sandwich. Me and my new friend walked to class together and we ended up having like, 3 classes. I felt really special bc the first class he sat right next to me!

Everything was perfect until our 3rd class together and I see mo isom sitting in his lap. W.T.F.. I calmly approached her ad calmly asked what she was doing. She said "excuse me ms... Imnot too sure what you're talking about. This set me on edge. I grabbed a pair of scissors and a pen off her desk. I stabbed her in the tit with the scissors. Then I used the pen and wrote a bathroom pass.

Here's the thing though, I didn't really have to go to the bathroom. Instead, I walked to my locker where I had my brass knuckles which delicately read "talk shite get hit" across them. But the rhinestones were falling off the "shite". I go in to get on her arse when Les miles jumped up and swatted my first attempt and a loud "HAAHH!!!" came from his mouth as he looked down at me.

So now, when I feel like everyone here is against me in walks my knight in broke down armor. JC. He told them to back the frick but they didn't want to hear that shite! He started fidgeting around on the ground lily he was having a seizure. Everyone walked by JC seisuring on the ground like nothing happened. When everyone was gone I got a text "hey why did you leave me here after I saved you?!?". He said was breakdance fighting and that bitches love breakdance fighting and nighas be scurrrd".

Later we all saw each other at the dance. JC walked out there. Mills walked out there. They Then walked the dinosaur.

mills has played great so this year. of course the competition is not great but the sec teams we play are not loaded with top quality wrs either. he will have a tougher challenge against sec teams but with the pass rush we can generate, there won't be time for many deep pass patterns and double moves. combine that with top quality safety play and mill will be just fine. and yes, he has played as well as any LSU db for far, not saying he is better than reid or simon. just saying.

BombBlonde, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
