Nobody’s heard the alleged tapes

I’m not even sure at this point that they exist.

Please tell me what evidence the NCAA has that Wade did anything wrong? The only admissible evidence was the statement by Richardson regarding Naz.

The article in the OP includes quotes from the NCAA admitting they can't use wiretaps not used at trial as actual evidence in it's investigation, but is limited to using that information as points of discussion with the particular coach. So we are back to square, where is the evidence you are so concerned about?

In the word of Lt. Kaffey in A Few Good Men, "it doesn't what I believe. It only matter what I can prove."

Yeah. After he was reinstated. How do you interpret it?

Arizona, Louisville, and some low-majors.

So Arkansas AM&N (Pineville to you) and Miss valley State.

I doubt any low majors are in this net.

This is directly from the article in this thread

quote:

The NCAA had held off on investigations, he said, at the request of the government until the trials were concluded.
"So now that's it over, we're going to be moving forward with a number of Level I cases that will help people realize that, 'Yeah, the enforcement staff was in a position to move forward,'" Wilcox said.

Based on the context clues given by Lipsey, who was in the know, and the new, specific termination clause in his contract, I had always assumed this was all still pending.

And thoughts on this Lipsey quote
quote:

I personally hope that future is at LSU. I don't know where this investigation leads. I know he is very personable, young, and maybe yes he made a mistake. But there's a major problem in NCAA basketball with the shoe companies...While I'm not in a position to do anything about it, I hope we can keep Will Wade. He will be a winner wherever he is

I think you are fishing for something here and looking at it too hard. Here is what Lipsey said in the interview prior to your quotes...
"If I'd had been Will Wade I would have done exactly what he did..."

"I think as a basketball coach Will Wade has a heck of a bright future. I personally hope that future is here at LSU...."

For some reason, you tend to think Lipsey knows something ominous and hopes it doesn't get out. Just keep in mind, you are thinking that about the very person who spearheaded Alleva's ouster over this whole mess. Ponder that. If Lipsey thinks Will Wade is about to get uncovered as a cheat, would he burn so much political capital on going after Alleva with the BOS?

He admits in that statement that Wade “maybe” made a mistake

Why would he inject any of those mixed thoughts at all in your opinion?

Even the one you quoted... I personally hope the future is here at LSU . Why would he have to hope that over a coach that was just “reinstated”.

Why would he mention the possibility that Wade is not yet cleared?

Why would he “hope” LSU could keep Will Wade

Why would he question where the investigation leads if it were closed?

Why didn’t they fire Alleva? Or even issue a statement on his demotion ?

LSU wouldn’t have amended his contract if they thought he was cleared totally.

. My prediction
2020 - Orgeron and CPM are gone either fired or retired. The issue is Woodward is not going to frick around. Childress was about to be fired from TAMU when he took a team to Omaha in 2017. Frankly, I think Paul retires. Who knows, but finishing less than 3rd in the SEC west in any sport consistently will get you fired.

Because maybe he is being asked on air "where the LSU basketball program, and more specifically Will Wade, is in this whole process?" ...and he doesn't have any more info than we do, but wants to be cautiously optimistic?

Again, you are reading waaay too much into that interview that covered a lot of ground on different topics. The main subject of the interview was the hiring of Woodward.

Is this really all you have at this point to hang your hat on? Lipsey's interview and the 2nd hand conversation with Book Richardson and the convicted agent?

Here's a question back to you, since we're trying to read tea leaves....

If Wade still had doo-doo to deal with, would Javonte be coming back? I'd bet he'd take any deal overseas or otherwise than to come back and play for another coach and/or no postseason opportunity.

I find it odd you were unable to answer any of my questions directly. He was maybe talking about something else ?? Wut? And you are going to sit here & type some of the bullshite you have in this thread? That’s your response!l??

You are being naive. I don’t overact to stuff. Based on your emotional postings in this thread, you certainly do.

I’m not trying to hang my hat on anything. I don’t want this. But that is the information, like it or not. Only 3-4 schools had more dirt on them than Wade & LSU. If they have 6 schools nailed & more in their cross hairs, it’s not good for LSU.

Everything I posted leads to this still be unresolved. Remove your purple & gold glasses. Or don’t, I really don’t care. I’d Just be careful talking down to people regarding this situation.
