So Bain on Thursday and then Poche on Friday? I know at least one game we will have to go Johnny Wholestaff and would that be Saturday?

I am thinking maybe Johnny Wholestaff on Thursday then bring back Poche and then Bain.

TIA

Bain > Wholestaff

Pitch Bain next against #2 from Vandy/TCU

I'd go with Newman Friday and Poche Friday. Poche could come back and pitch game 3 of finals if necessary

Newman hasn't started yet. Why start him now? Make him the first guy out the pin and start bain

Bain on Thursday.

Poché on Friday.

Reynolds/Godfrey/Newman/whoever on Saturday. Lange in relief for a few innings.

Game 1 - Reynolds/Godfrey/Bain/whoever

Game 2- Lange

Game 3 - Poché

TCU and Vandy would be on their 3rd pitcher against LSU, not #2, #2 goes tonight.

I would agree with all of this except Lange in relief.

Next time Lange pitches it will be either Mon (1st game NC series) or more likely Tues (2nd game NC series).

If Lange doesn't pitch on Saturday, he's absolutely starting Game 1 of the championship series.

What makes you think Lange would pitch any innings on Sat coming off a CG 120 or so pitch performance today?

Because it would basically be a bullpen day.

I'm not saying he's going to start, or even throw a ton of innings; but if we need him for 2 innings, I think he'll be available.

Also, what difference does it make if he pitches games 1 or 2?

Pitching game 2 is better, he gets his full week which he normally gets and you put your trust that he can CG saving your bullpen for games 1 and 3.

I know you didn't mean starting.

It's possible, but I don't think PM is going to do that with Lange. He's either starting or not.

You just ideally want to get up 1-0, but it's not a completely huge deal either way.

Unless, of course, Poché is somehow available for Game 2. Then you need Lange going Game 1.

But if Poché pitches Friday, then he won't pitch till Game 3.

Don't want to assume very much. I think Bain pitches Thursday. Btw we want to play TCU Thursday. Revenge factor our guys will have something to prove and their staff is so deep we can beat Vandy twice but not TCU.

You think?

I think Vandy would be more difficult to beat 2x in a row than TCU.

Disagree , we know more about Vandy pitchers and from results of game 1 jack shite bout toads' pitchers and I fear PTSD if Poche has to face horny toads again

Poche's problem wasn't pitching to home plate until he committed 2 errors.

And even then it was an additional 2 walks, a HBP and error from Hale to break the game open.

It wasn't like they were lighting Poche up. And if LSU is going to win this thing they need Poche. I would rather him face TCU again than Vandy.
