Alaska has spoken, i feel safe...

About the same here. I'm hoping we win, I don't think we will but I'm watching and cheering the Tigers just the same as always!

Afterwards, I hope Miles announces his retirement. He can go out either big (we win) or out (we lose) in disgrace which would be proper for him in either circumstances given.

I feel it sucks that LSU will not beat Alabama. The product that I have seen on the field in every game besides Georgia(all offense) and Florida(all defense), has left me to believe that LSU will get drummed in this game. I hope I am wrong, but I just don't have any faith that Miles and the Chief can get this defense to play up to par for this game. I don't know if it's the personnel or the coaching.

If miles wins big at bama , he might pull a Kenny Powers and disappear

I feel like the O"PISS game. Les will figure a way to lose when if we have a good game we could win. Still NO DEFENSE!

My thoughts exactly. He will never do any better than this.

when the teams are evenly matched we know we can win.

who really has confidence when we are outmatched that miles will outcoach anyone?

Why? We saw LSU take Bama's NC team to the wire last year with a slightly better defense and much worse offense (based on how we were playing at the time). The prior two regular season games were decided by a total of 6 points.

The bottom line is, Miles gets his team ready for Bama (save for 1/9/12). I see no reason that will be different with two weeks and Cam Cameron with us this year.

Have faith, Tigers, lawd. This defeatist attitude permeating the Rant is very unbecoming.

ETA: I realize your post was primarily focusing on the defense.

My confidence level is soaring with each passing hour. But who's fooling who? By kickoff, my nads will be in a knot and I'll be struck by the sudden fear that we're going to lose by three scores. I'm in the EST, so I have to wait until 8 p.m. That extra hour is hell.

But a lot of people are predicting an LSU win so you are probably just getting used to hearing it so much.

A lot of people may be hoping LSU wins, but judging by the growing spread more people are betting LSU loses.

I hope and pray Tigers win, but I would not put money on it.

I hear you man. That's why I start drinking whiskey about 2-3 hours before kickoff, by which I'm feeling nice and good and ready to yell.

I actually think LSU will be up for this game. They always play to the level of their competition. Still, look for CLM to make bonehead desicions. The whole thing rides on Chavis.

Don't forget, Johnny Football put 42 points on Bama. We can too!

Ab-so-lutely. I like to hit a few Maker's or Knob Creek's right away to get the confidence level up. Then I'll slide into a steady stream of Bud Lights.

Better.

I love that Bama players are openly dissing LSU. I love that there is more noise about Saban to UT. I love that we haven't played a complete game in weeks. I love that it is in Tuscaloosa.

Better.

I feel better, and I am ready for the game. I will BBQ some chicken wings, and have my side items ready, with a 12 pack of beer, and a bottle of Vodka. I probably won't be any good on Sunday.

The same. I think I predicted a 38-24 Alabama victory. Maybe 35-20 Alabama win. I'm remaining optimistic that we can upset them if our offense shows up and plays the best game of the season, especially the offensive line. That will include no turnovers. Also, when we get inside the redzone, we need be able to punch the ball in every time. We cannot stall out and settle for field goals to beat Alabama. I hate to say it, but I have zero confidence in the defense. I think their running backs will have a field day with our linebackers and McCarron will have no trouble against our secondary. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe we can force an interception or recover a fumble, but I still think we'll have to score a great number (maybe in the 40s) to beat them.
