He said he’s a 4 tech which is NOT at DT.

Come on man, you’re talking to a certified beast talent evaluator/former player. Surely he knows a 4 tech isn’t a DT

The LB he said would never play at lsu and had a shite offer list was elevated to a 4 star less than a week after his evaluation

Jones can’t run out of sight in a month, it’s a good move.

Jones ran a verified 4.6 40 at 265 in high school. The whole point of being disappointed is because he was a freak at EDGE and the staff turned him into a mediocre interior player.

What? He played outside last year. And was not a freak at it. Yes, he is a freak athlete, but has not been a freak at edge. It was strange that he never seemed to learn to set the edge. Surely, the coaches saw it on film, yet he was poor at this all year.

280 is not too light to be a DT

Find me a defensive tackle in the SEC that weighed 280 and was effective last year.

It’s not really a DT position, think Lewis Neal’s 3-4 end spot when he was here. Thats most likely the role he’ll have.

But hey, you seem the type to argue with a brick wall, so have at it.

Mekhi Wingo was probably 280 at the end of the year in 2022

Robert Nkemdiche was probably 280 as a freshman. Davon Godchaux as well as a freshman. It’s less about weight and more about technique and strength

May be the close to the worse DL in the SEC instead of just the bottom half. Looks like some players from Nichols or SELA right now.

That is cool that some people love using buzz words and coach speak about gap this and technique that. I'm not being sarcastic, but quite frankly what I care about is inside DL or playing on the end of the DL. IMO, the use of terms has gotten way overused

Here's the problem with this.....

Playing the 4i and playing the shade aren't even in the same galaxy. Coach Kelly said clear as day that he's playing the 4 meaning he is playing SDE in an ODD front and will likely have a jack backer standing up outside of him so he's not technically an "edge" but he's not playing the shade taking on double teams. Just because you don't understand the smaller details of the game doesn't mean people have to ignore them so you can feel better.
