Cubbies for me

Family grew up in Chicago and was raised me as a Cubs fan. Visiting Wrigley when I was 12 pretty much did it for me, as well as watching guys like Todd Walker, Ryan Theriot, and Mike Fontenot the past couple years.

Watching Mainieri sing "Take me out to the ballgame" last season =

Tallied the results so far and this is what I got in case you're curious. I counted multiple favorites as well, except any that were a "distant second."

Braves: 11
Cubs: 10
Astros: 8
Red Sox: 8
Cardinals: 3
Rangers: 3
Giants: 2
Twins: 2
Dodgers: 1
Mets: 1
Phillies: 1
Rays: 1
Reds: 1

when i started following MLB closely Todd Walker was my favorite which carried over quickly to The Riot

I also enjoy watching Hawpe and Hill

Astros and Red Sox. My grandpa was always a Sox fan and I grew up when NOLA's AAA club was affiliated with the 'Stros, so it was easy to become a fan.

If WGN was no such thing, no one in Louisiana would give two fricks about the Cubs. And they know it to be true. The nostalgia of Harry Carey, True-link fences, and "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" suckered Cubs fans into a deep dark dungeon of gloom, filth, rape, and dirty honey.

BigDropper, I see. And I agree. But someone please tell me about the infatuation for a tiger taking a sh!t? Just asking...
