Once again, the media has seen fit to address the issue of early entrants from LSU. Every player has to make his own decision, but in my opinion Johnson, Ferguson, and Collins could benefit from another year and improve their draft status. With Mettenberger leaving, I could see Landry and Beckham leaving if they are at least second or third round picks; of course I hope they stay. I think that Hill is a second round talent, but I am not sure where he is ranked due to his off the field issues. I hope that Blue returns to improve his status and help the team. Basically, I want all of these guys to return and demonstrate some loyalty to LSU.

They did when they signed their NLI. They will make the best decision for themselves at this time. Will it be the correct decision, time will tell.

i think all the offensive guys are gone...i know OBJ is the shite but landry is probably one of my favorite WR's of all time. hate to see him go.

i think freak and ego would benefit from another yr but who knows what they'll do.

The whole D-line needs more snaps. RB's need to go ASAP. WR could go either way, depends on the overall talent that is coming out. IMO WR's that are not at least 6'3 get overlooked as far as 1st round. You have to really stand out to get taken in the top 10 if you dont fit that mold. DB's need more snaps. LB's need more snaps. O-line need more snaps.

I don't go back many years with LSU, but he's on my personal A List. A great player. A first down machine, a touchdown machine, and a human highlight reel. He deserves every shout out he gets.

Who cares if they stay are go??

It is their choice and good or bad is on them.
Not one player cares what ESPN or fans think about them leaving early for the NFL. They see a lot of JR who left LSU playing on Sunday!

LSU pays = Zero $$$

NFL pays= 6 digits

It's the way the NFL has it set up now. It's not just LSU. Most of the money is made in the 2nd contract. The players want to be 1 year closer to their 2nd contract.

Show some loyalty to LSU? What a fricking dumbass.

I'm guessing NONE of those guys showed loyalty when they signed and stuck it out for 3 or more great seasons right? Gtfo with that crap.

The MEDIA? The MEDIA? You're talkin' 'bout the MEDIA? You've got to be kiddin' me in sayin' that the MEDIA has the gall to bring this up. There's THREE THREADS A DAY on this site about early defections to the NFL. Talk about the pot callin' the kettle black... This site stirs it up daily. I've been saying for months that this subject should be banned from this site, and any violators given the choice of being banned for life or flogged.

not much diff in being and undrafted free agent and a 3rd round pick. The days of kids staying are over.

As fans it's easy to say "he should come back" or "he could benefit from another year." These kids have spent 3 years here and if they want to leave and make more money than most on this board, then more power to them. I thank them for eveything they have done while here and wish them well. It is also a huge recruiting tool.

They chose to put on the P/G, which demonstrated a lot of loyalty to me. There is no way a WR would forgo being a high draft pick, to play for a rookie QB, therefore devaluing their draft status.
