Getting past LSU in baseball is like getting past Alabama in football

Yeah right...you gotta wear purple to get that zone, I guarantee ya.

quote:

I wonder if the jackass on tiger drippings who was competing Baum to a bandbox when Cole hit a bomb against LSU is bitching about Hoover being a bandbox

These ESPN clowns have man love for the Corn Dogs

quote:

You guys knew going in we we're playing a blue blood. You act shocked that the announcers are pro LSU and the umps are giving them the calls.

quote:

Take a nice stroll back Diechmann. You're lucky that the previous pitch didn't punch you out. And the ump should have thrown his rear out for arguing balls and strikes.

quote:

What the hell is Peterson talking about??? That was a swing all day every day. Screw LSU and these fanboys.

quote:

Ok LSU strike zone, inside batters box line to inside batters box line, top of the letters to top of the ankles. Oh and you can stop the bat anywhere

quote:

It's border line and like Bama in Football and Kentucky, LSU gets every call close call in baseball

quote:

what a great feeling it must be to play for LSU and come to the park knowing you will get strike calls like that. Hogs never going to get the fair shake. Just going to have to gut it out and score some runs somehow. Umps are not going to give Hogs any benefit of the doubt. That is reserved for Maineri (sp) and the LSU player

quote:

Lsu is in our heads. Having said that, this home plate ump has controlled this game.

quote:

And AGAIN the Lsu guys show up the umps with no repercussions

quote:

And Robertson gets away with it as well. This LSU team should have had 4 players tossed today.

quote:

they are prima Donna's that's how LSU always is. It's how they are coached. I hate it.

quote:

I didn't say put one in the earhole because that could end his career, but we need to make a point sometimes.

quote:

We finally get a borderline call and the announcers complain. They are completely impartial.

quote:

Annoying LSU fan acting like it's a little league game out there yelling for our players to swing.

quote:

I've concluded the Universe is just flat out against us whenever it comes to baseball and the corndogs

The funniest one IMO

LSU can dogpile now. We will save ours for Omaha.

What I've taken from this, Arkansas fans complain just as much if not more than LSU fans about officiating

Interesting, because my mom was texting me during the game bitching about the announcers and umpires being pro-Arkansas. Guess that means everyone was being fair

These hogs are so clueless
They really need to learn their place and just be honored they were allowed to step on the field against LSU in the championship game

I thought the announcers were pretty fair. I went and watched it with my grandparents and they thought they were actually pro-arkansas. As for the umps- both ways I thought.

Home plate ump was inconsistent and awful for both teams.

And fans here were saying the announcers were pro-Arkansas. Both sides are totally ridiculous.

I mean that was his whole point.

If you're going to call that a strike, be consistent so I know what to swing at.

I don't know what game Arkansas fans watched. The umps called a fair game. The strike zone was large for both teams. Several pitches that were low and outside (on TV) were called strikes. That was for both teams.

The strike zone was shifted about 3 inches into the right hand box and away from the left handers. He was inconsistent as far as how low it was. But both teams had bad calls against them.

The ump had just called the same pitch a ball, Deich had good reason to be pissed. The ump was definitely horrible for both teams, and the announcers were very pro Arky.. I didn't think they were all over LSU's nuts..

Agreed.

Announcers pointed out multiple times it was a pitcher's strike zone all day, from the get go. And they were correct, and that was for both sides. Zone was very low and quite a bit outside. Arky used the low all game; LSU used the outside.

I will say the only pitch that stuck out to me was a low ball on Deichmann; same pitch but slightly lower followed, it was called a strike. I want to say this was 6th inning but not sure. ETA: based on the zone all day, BOTH these calls were wrong. Bass ackwards. Guess that's why it stood out to me.

Guy yelling "swing" was annoying. Not Vandy whistler annoying, but still. Thankfully it was only for Arky's last bat so I figure he was into it and trying to help Newman out (who could use all the help he could get).

If Arkansas players were good enough they'd be playing in Alex Box. Stop hating and go back to making shine. Arkansas team would live to be in our shoes
