Idk bro. I’ve been there and, being a youth worker, I’ve seen plenty of kids graduate high school and end up at their “dream school” just to transfer after a semester or two because of depression or general discontentment with their situation. These types never pan out anywhere until they either receive counseling or temper their expectations. Just because we don’t see this happen often at the highest level of D1 athletics doesn’t mean it isn’t a legitimate issue a large minority of young adults will face. “Problem child” rhetoric isn’t helpful in this context.

Moscona mentioned when he first went in that “As a father, knowing what I’ve been told off the record, if that was my son I wouldn’t feel comfortable with him in his current situation.” If I didn’t quote him exactly it was only off by a word or two. I’m cutting the kid some slack no matter where he goes
