I'd be willing to bet that the cutoff is right at 120. There's no way they can let students who didn't go to all 6 home games get a ticket. But hey, if only 3700 people requested tickets and only 1500 of them had 120, then i guess there will be some people with tickets who didn't make every game.

ETA: I have 126 so I'm not bitching. I'm just hoping to grab a seat in the dome.

Well the official LSU Ticket Office twitter has announced that you can be in the upper deck with less than 120 points.

So you're golden with 126

So answer me this......If I missed the Arkansas game bc I went out of town for thanksgiving but I went to 3 away games, does that make me less of a fan than those that went to all 6 home games? The real issue is that they only give 5 priority points for away games which I think is ridiculous. I think it takes more of a fan to travel to an away game than to go to Tiger Stadium and leave at halftime.

I know the guy who tweeted that. He has 125+ as well. So hopefully that wasn't a personal attack on him. Also, if you wouldn't mind removing the name, it'd be greatly appreciated. TIA

Not a personal attack on him at all. He just asked about the points needed and someone at the ticket office responded.

But that person's name is currently public to everyone who looks at the official LSU Ticket Office Twitter.

I understand that, but there is a way bigger barrier for people to go to Away games. Its a more expensive proposition and prices a lot of people out. I think its a fair balance that they're worth more than the other events, but a good bit less than the home games. It's not entirely about "who's the biggest fan." It rewards the use of your tickets more than anything else, and attempts to keep the student section full.

I agree with what you're saying but it just blows that going to 3 away games can't even make up for missing that one home game. It sucks but it is a better system that using credit hours (unless you're a senior of course)

3 not equaling 1 is a bit much for sure. Maybe 10 for the away games would be a better system.

I can't believe that this system isn't the norm at every big time football school though. It blows the shite out of every other system I've heard of. Credit hours? That's a joke.

Yeah I really, really like the priority point system. One of the few things that works extremely well, exactly as intended.

I have 154 points FWIW

It takes 4 away games to equal 1 home game
(1 away game=5 points, 1 home game=20 points)

It was set up that way to make sure it wasn't only the rich students could get bowl tickets while still giving those students that travel for away games still get an advantage when it comes to ticket requests.

LSU's system is lightyears ahead of some schools. Rewards the people that go to the stuff.
