Probably one of the dumbest posts I've read on here. We have recruiting classes that are ranked high every year. However, let's look at how good the recruiting really is. Maquadious Bain, gone. DT
Rashard Robinson, gone CB
Clifton Garrett, gone LB
Haden Rettig, never here QB
Avery Johnson, gone WR
Travonte Valentine, never here DT
Trey Lealaimatafao, gone DT

Not that we don't have attrition but look at the ratings of these players who either didn't contribute at all or very little. Either player evaluation failed regarding character, intelligence or talent or they aren't getting developed once they got here.

Your just happy with mediocrity. Lot's of us are not. If you don't think that given the resources, money spent, fan base, facilities we should be doing a lot better then you have a pretty low opinion of LSU.

That happens at every major program.

Something a new hc could bring. Cam cameron is not the issue. Usually a coach brings an offensive or defensive specialty to the table. Les is supposed to be an offensive coach

Sounds like a hc failure

What is needed is for you to take up knitting.

We've been having this conversation for the past 10 years.

Getting new coaches around him is not going to work if he doesn't let them coach, particularly on offense. On defense I think he is smart enough to realize he needs to let someone else take the wheel, the problem is he chose the wrong driver.

And to your point about other coaches, I would happily take Gary Patterson, Art Briles, Mike Gundy, Kliff Kinsbury, Jim Mora, Kyle Whittingham, and potentially Dino Babers, Tom Herman, and Justin Fuente. All those guys I think would take the job in a minute.

Only replacement LSU should even consider for replacing Miles is Saban.

Mike Grundy has better records at OSU than miles did before coming here.

Fail.

Give me one reason LSU should be satisfied with anything less than to be National title contenders every year. We have the resources , we spend the $$ on our coaching staff, we have the in state talent. Why should we accept anything less than a top 8 finish every year?

I would take Meyer

this is a joke. Meyer left Florida because Saban made him quit. Without Tebow Meyer was just another average coach in the SEC. He got out before his value went down.

No, all teams have attrition. What they don't have is that many 4 and 5 star players that contribute to the overblown recruiting rating of the class. In addition we have 4 star guys who aren't even able to contribute sitting on the bench. They were either overrated or are not developing. Because, as we have seen, it's not like the guys on field are playing lights out on the dline or defensive end positions. And the linebacking depth is a joke. So how good is the recruiting once the dust settles given the amount of talent in our own backyard?

But for the foreseeable future, Alabama and LSU define each others seasons. They are both the dominant teams in the SEC west. That head to head matchup is often THE deciding factor in the SECW division title, conference title hopes, and playoff aspirations. EVERYONE including the players know this.

If you want to lessen the impact of the that specific matchup, move it earlier in the season.

So, if we can't beat him consistently, then we should accept NEVER beating him? Do you honestly think Miles is ever going to beat him again? Freeze can beat him sometimes, Malzahn even beat him a couple of years ago. Sumlin beat him three years ago. Not beating him consistently doesn't mean you have to go 0-5.

IMHO the coaching staff was very, very, very disappointed with the team play against Ala. and it carried over to Ark. If LSU can ever get over the fact that Ala. does not define their season (mindset change) they will be fine moving forward.

I'm so tired of this argument...we make excuses for Les. If we would have beat Alabama and lost to Arkansas the argument would be that they had a "letdown" game or a "hangover". It never ends.
