Like last year, our inability to get off the field on third downs (I believe they wound up 9-14, several of which were 10+ yards) really stifled our defensive intensity and frustrated our offense from getting right back out there and re-establishing some momentum (or at least restraining theirs).

our heralded defensive star looks like he has sickle cell anemia.

I chuckled at this. It was shocking the difference in Perkins from this game to last year. Last year he was the best player on the field. Last night he looked lost and had zero flashes of the great athleticism he showed last year.

On one play he almost caught up to the passer but was unintentionally blocked out by his teammate Savion.

The plan to put him at middle linebacker and rarely rush the passer backfired big time. But even when he did rush he was neutralized. Perplexing.

FSU is a more talented more and experienced team. They observed flaws and exposed them in the second half. That’s what good teams and good coaching staffs do.

Last year we could have very easily been 8-4 or 9-3. Kind of looks like where we are headed. It’s one game. On the road against a good team. The getting out coached so badly is hard to figure.

I don’t think we are bad as it looked last night. But absolutely have to make major improvements over the next couple of weeks

I also think FSU may be the best team we play this season.

Have to let it play out. We were in the same spot last year and still managed to get to the SECCG.

Our QB can’t hit a Buick with a beach ball
Is that the same as not being able to hit the "Broad Side of a Barn" with a football? (Which is what I used to say about Jefferson, Jennings and Harris)
