I hope Kolby takes the job and runs with it - a senior who loves LSU and just went through hell.

I'm with you brother.

I hope Delahoussaye has the season of his life and goes on to a great pro career. We have a gem in Connor Culp for the future.

Nope. We will go for 2 after ever TD and will always go for it on 4th down inside the 40.

I'm concerned about Delahoussaye's psyche. Not just related to football, but as a person. I can't imagine going through something like that. Must have all kinds of survivor's guilt. I mean, he is only alive because the other dude likely called "shotgun" before him. Football may be a great way for him to focus and take his mind off of it, but I don't know that I wouldn't be fricked up for a good bit.

I don't know, maybe it will have the opposite effect on the field. He got the yips late 2014 and I imagine a continuation of those lost him the job last year. Maybe he will return to the field with a different mindset, one where he won't put so much pressure on himself. Maybe he approaches each kick the way he kicked that 50 yarder against Florida in 2014. He kicked that ball as if he had nothing to lose, it was a tie game headed to OT and no one expected him to make that kick. It's just a game after all. Maybe it will help him cope and honor the lives of his friends tragically lost by excelling in what brought them together.

Yes

Several major teams have possible freshman starting kickers. I believe Wisconsin's freshman kicker may even surpass their guy..

We have options.. Delahoussaye is pretty solid vet, and we have two highly skilled young kickers

It's a fair question.

You never know when a guy goes cold so we need 2 guys that can get it done.

The bigger question in my mind is whether or not we are going to put the ball in the end zone for touch backs, or try that bullshite sky kick that gave up large returns and great field position. On paper, it may look good, but we didn't execute it worth a shite. It seemed like our defense was continually trotted out with short fields to contend with. Sticking with that kickoff no matter the results was...typical. I say make the opponent drive the full 80 yards. Our defense should be solid. Carry on.
