care to quote LSU's record vs PAC10?

LSU narrowly escaped Oregon State in a season coming off a national championship and the next year barely escaped Arizona State in a season we went on to finish top 5. None of this shite matters. LSU doesn't play the Pac 10 and Oregon doesn't play the SEC. LSU plays Oregon. That's it. The conference garbage is nonsense.

Yes. Oregon is going to give LSU all it can handle, and maybe MORE than it can handle.

I'll gladly take Oregon plus 7 pts & hope I lose.1st game of the season, who knows what kind of offense LSU will have. I hope I lose the bet & LSU has a killer year.

I was shocked at how well they handled Stanford.

I live in the PAC time zone and saw them play.

The CAL game was a puzzler. The fake injuries slowed the game down some, but not THAT much. I guess you get one bad one in a season of WOW.

Let's not forget, they really gave Aubie all they could handle.
Aubie was MIGHTY.

I am hoping the fact that the Ducks graduated some key guys will be the difference.

And I am hoping Mett takes over two weeks from now.
I do not see JJ winning this game.

Cal had a stud D-line with no offense.

they did, and another is suspended.

i'll take the guy who has won 20 games as a starter and only lost one OOC because of a bullshite field and bullshite call by the ref at the end over the guy who hasn't played an actual down of SEC football yet.

In terms of the defenses, I think you have to buy what they are selling if you buy what we are selling.

We are selling that we'll be just as good if not better with the loss of our three best defensive players.

They are claiming a sort of addition by subtraction. They think their youngsters are more talented than the guys who just graduated (which may well be true - it is for us in many cases).

I see those rationales as similar.

I actually think Cal matches up very well with Oregon. They run a 3-4 with a traditional nose tackle. The 4 linebackers they have are actually very good - likely all NFL prospects. LSU will be smaller than Cal on the interior and will be a lot less experienced at the backer position.

I always expect a dogfight with Cal. Tedford coached at Oregon for years and the familiarity between the schools is pronounced.

Auburn used a traditonal 4-3 but had a monstor at DT and a lot of size across their two deep.

I am actually curious about how the mustang package works against Oregon. I think this MIGHT play to our favor. We have much more difficult time with a traditional base defense that is bigger.

The mustang package that I am presuming will use Mathieu inside and Hatcher in the middle will be different for sure. I think we can use your speed against you. Whereas Cal and Auburn played with big players that played assignment football.

Of course, I am not saying that Oregon will move the ball. Just that I am very intrigued by the matchup.

I haven't read through this entire thread but, if it has not already been mentioned, LSU will have a large, large following in Dallas. The game is at night, so the fans will be "ready". There will be a lot of noise, that could impact Oregon's line somewhat on the quick snaps.

I surely hope LSU wins and wins big, but I don't want to be over-confident.

SEC only #1 by a slim margin
The PAC should be #4-5 at best, definitely behind the big 12
MWC and WAC above the ACC seriously?

You are crazy. The Pac 12 is now the second best league in the land, with the demise of the Big 12 and the downfall of Ohio State (Big Ten will be less competitive this year - 2 horse race).

The Pac 12 has at least 3 very good teams (Oregon, Stanford, USC), has 1 or 2 that could break through this season (Arizona State, Oregon State) and has a bunch of competitive mid tier teams (Washington, Cal, Utah, e.g.).

That conference is going to be good this year, actually.

Oregon cannot handle the trench game with lsu. I think Oregon is overrated because of the guy Will lyles cheated for to get him qualified and Darron Thomas. Outside of those 2, Oregon doesn't scare me. They only return like 10 starters or something.

assuming they don't have the traditional early OL issues (which is a very real possibility with UO), i think they move the ball
