That's not entirely accurate.

Is statement was accurate. The Georgia game was a perfect example. The place was a library when Georgia had the ball. The students have no idea when they are supposed to get loud outside of the obviously exciting dunk, block or 3 pointer.

I'm going to ask everyone around me to be quiet. Why would we yell? Of course we won't.

Bingo! There was actually a pretty good turnout for the student section. Yet, except for 30 or so goobers who (to their credit) always show up and are into the game, there wasn't a ton of noise.

The students by and large stay away except for the BIG games, then get mad because the PMAC is not an "intimidating" venue. Well, it used to be, and that was because the students never missed games.

Those are the students that could care less and just sit and taking selfies the whole game.

You need to thump their heads and tell em to take a gd hike if they're just wasting space and are not gonna cheer for the tigers!

I agree. I'm talking about the other 70% of older fans. Most can appreciate good basketball.

Noise happens when the defense looks really good for 18 seconds and the shot clock is winding down.

We rejoice good ball movement followed by a score.
We cheer for great effort on rebounds and loose balls.

...and of course we go nuts after a big block, dunk, fast break typically followed by screaming as the opponent inbounds the ball.

So now you're gonna ask old people for their tickets. Re-think your strategy.

This... Not enough, but I'll always give them a nice cheer if we ball hard on D for most of the shot clock.
