Curious to see how they did or are doing if they were invited.

Martin measured 6'8" w/o shoes

Mickey measured 6'7" w/o shoes

Mickey's wingspan was 3" longer than Martin's

That's a good measurement for Mickey... Martin always looked so much taller. Surprised they were so close.

Frankly, me too.

That's got to hurt Martin's stock a bit. Plus, no surprise on the wingspan. When they stood side by side you could see just how long Mickey's arms were compared to Martin. Also, it looks like both came in a 238 lbs

According to Chad Ford, Mickey had 17 (7 of 12, 3 of 9 at the line), 8 boards and 8 blocks

Uhh what? How does being 6'9.25" hurt Martins stock?

That's a great height for him, considering his athleticism, ball skills, and the ability to play on the perimeter.

Just because he's only 1.25" taller than Mickey won't hurt his stock at all because Martin can play on the perimeter, Mickey can't. It's not a comparisons between the 2. It's about their positions. Martin has great heigh for his skill set and ability, Mickey is under sized for his.

But Mickey did help his stock today though. Glad he chose to participate in the scrimmages because he wouldn't have helped his stock out with just the measurements. He's a better player in an actual game than his measurements would are. So good for him.

No knock on Mickey, I just don't see a good fit for him in the NBA at 6'7".

Mickey come back. Any kind of fool could see.
There was something in everything about you.
Martin come back. You can blame it all on me.
I was wrong, and I just can't live without you.

There is no way Mickey doesn't get picked up for his defense alone. He can contribute 8-12 minutes off the bench and be a fine back up. I'd bet Mickey plays longer than Martin in the league.

Did you ever watch Mickey play on ball defense? He was horrible at defense, an elite shot blocker, but not a great defender. So many people see the shot blocks, but don't actually sit and watch him defend.

I have and a key attribute of his is weak side defense. He plays it as good as anyone. If he could play on man wing defense we wouldn't be talking about him as he would be a first rounder. His basketball iq is very high.

While 6'7 and him being a low post prospect is concerning, there are some guys that just go out there and perform and he is one of them.

We have a lot of posters than really went hard at the guy for leaving early but it was the right choice.

As anyone that has watched games throughout the NBA there has been quite a few teams go to small ball lineups, granted Mickey does not fit the role of the big, but talent is talent, he should and probably will get drafted. Euro stash for 2 years or he could fluctuate between the D-league and 10 day callups next year, all a matter of preferance for him.
