Miles made some excellent hires over the years. Another important fact is that LSU's Orgeron was able to keep Aranda, and sway Canada to come here.

Everybody should remember that Les wanted Aranda a year earlier, and if he had succeeded, Les may have lasted longer at LSU. Let's thank Alleva for stalling that hire.

Aranda was under contract and making a lot. Probably wasn't too hard to keep him. Bringing in Canada hopefully will be as huge as getting/keeping Aranda.

side note: Aranda not only makes a great deal, but he makes more than most NFL DC's

Dline will be better. Devin is a budding super star. He will be better than KB. We've got a good mix of middle lbers.. speed (Donnie & Corey) and size( white & Phillips & divinity). Olb is loaded even without key. Corner will be fine with KT2 healthy, Donte.. Greedy is our next Mo. and don't sleep on Kary Vincent. At safety battle looked good down the stretch. ESP in bowl game. He was all over the field. Delpit looks like he could start day 1 almost anywhere in the country. Monroe is a beast. This season and next I think we will see some of the most dominant defenses since 2011. I love how everyone is down on Lsu and saying O will flop. I promise that's not happening anytime soon.

Fact is, Les got a hell of a lot right...If O can do anywhere near as well, we will be good to go.

I have a lot of questions about Canada's offense. I wonder how long it will take the players to adjust to such a vastly different approach.

I think the jet sweep will become the new toss dive and fans will cringe when it's ran over and over again all season.

Canadas offense is complex and takes time to learn, but once learned and understood, its very hard to stop like the triple option playbook. LSU is the perfect place for his offense to thrive, cuz we stay loaded with top tier athletes year round.

les was an old school guy, and a damn good old school guy. he just lost his mojo on the old school offense. he went way further than he should have with it, and then it was zero.

sure. give the man his due.

Is down right innovative and the best there is. If we don't win a ship with him here then we may just have to wait out Saban.

That being said, he had a nice AR15 at Wisky but here he has an army to work with. Wait until he brings together top talent as upper classmen through out the defense. That's what's good about having top talent mixed in with 4 and 5 year players. Those upper classmen can get the other guys mentally ready to play.

I know this got 7 upvotes to 0 BUT Les got a hell of a lot WRONG, too. O already schooled his arse last year. Les underachieved. Honestly, I don't see how you can see it as anything else.

I believe that the loss of the national championship game 2012 actually did something to Les. It just seemed like he never recovered from that humiliating loss.

I agree but he also invested everything into Bama week every year and when he fell short he and the team always seemed deflated and couldn't recover. O downplayed it as another game another week it seems because last year we bounced right back. After two close losses vs Bama and UF. That impressed me. The bowl win was impressive as well. O doesn't get enough credit for the job he did.

The defense could have been ranked 4th, 3rd, 2nd, or 1st. Those are better than 5th, so yes the defense could have been better. I hope that answered your question. "If your not first, your last" Shake and Bake.

Yep....that was one of the points I was making when I started the topic. That kind of impact first year...look out above. Any offensive improvement just magnifies the potential of this team....underrated imo....soon see

Bread this is one of the most ridiculous statements I've seen on the rant, which is full of ridiculous BS. You have no basis for making such a comment.
