Firestick and watch ESPN app have been very clutch for watching nearly every LSU baseball game.

I still can't figure out why no LSU games this weekend were on the watch ESPN app on my Xbox but worked completely fine on every other platform.

Amazon Fire worked really well for me all weekend. Add to that the benefits of already having an Amazon Prime membership and we are happy.

Does anyone know why it's not showing up when I use the watch ESPN app on my Xbox? It works on my computer

its much easier to find it on the computer. if you have the "channel" option on your xbox, make sure to use SECNetwork+ and not just SECNetwork

Is anything about the apple or Fire better for some reason ?

If you are using your laptop you can get a chromcast, download the google chrome extension to your chrome browser, and stream anything on your laptop to your tv.

I was having volume issues all weekend with google chromcast. The commercials were loud, but after every break the volume started to decrease until I could not hear it any longer. I at least got to watch the games and caught maybe 25% of the sounds.

Not on any tvs. Unfortunately the ESPN app isn't on any tvs, unless it's a roku tv.

I believe the ESPN app is on Chromecast (Well, just share your screen via that), Fire TV, Apple TV & Roku. XBox1 has it as well.

Google Chromecast

One of the best quality streams I have found with Chromecast is from my galaxy s5 to TV. For some reason it's better than casting from two different decent laptops. Anyone else notice this?
And it runs in background so I can bitch/cheer on FB about the game and follow along on TD.

Newer phones typically have better wifi cards than many laptops. If your laptops are a couple years old they may not even have wireless AC.

My phone (Note 3) has fantastic wifi.

i have all the devices, firestick, roku, chromecast.. etc. and must say for simply casting LSU games.. i much prefer the chromecast.. i just fling to the tv via my iphone watchespn app and once it's on.. i can even close the app and it works great without the app even on my phone..

If you buy either device you will get pretty much every L.S.U. Baseball game.

If your internet service provider allows ESPN3/WatchESPN (almost all do at this point), your TV provider carries SEC network, and you have pretty much any device made within the last 5 years (laptop, desktop, smartphone, tablet, Roku, Fire stick, chromecast, smart TV) you'll be able to watch virtually any SEC (big 3) event unless it's carried by a broadcast channel (and thus unavailable on ESPN/ESPN+).

The SEC network has far exceeded (my personal) expectations and made visiting Justin's house not necessary anymore (which is good because it burned to the ground).

A few of the reason Apple TV, Amazon Fire, etc are better are as follows - using your tablet ties down your tablet, meaning you can't use said tablet to browse TD during the game. Also, the stand-alone devices can use an ethernet cable over wifi, which gives you a faster and more consistent Internet connection.

I have an Apple TV and it works good. But unless you have a Mac, I would use a Roku. It gets the best reviews pretty consistantly.

Edit: Forgot this is TD, where info is false without a link.
