Looks like he ran away from everyone. Safe to say he's not your average TE

250lbs Gazelle right there. Kellen Winslow sr was the most fluid TE, I've ever seen. That could change this season.

Man if this guy can even partially live up to the hype then our offense has a whole new ceiling

I feel bad for all the undersized CBs and safeties that will have to tackle him in the open field. If they can even square up to him, you'll see a lot of this.

Jesus look at thoroughbred.

It’ll be cool to add a Mackey award

Won't happen. Gonna be a lot of db's with the name "Business Decision" this season.

Arik isn’t an attention guy either. Rare at that age. He’s at LSU for business like Clyde, Joe, Chase, Jefferson and many more from last year’s team were.

ARIK is a great addition but you won’t see last years offense topped in your life TIME or the next. That’s the ceiling. So sit back, crack your ice cold coors like (cuz bud light won’t pay me nothin) and lower your expectations ranTARD

Great comparison. I can see LSU coming out in 2TE/1 Back sets and see how the Defense sets there personnel, if they have a more heavy package, you can then Flex Gilbert out and match him up on someone that can't cover. IF they go small, like what Saban calls his Rabbit package, you can hammer them with Curry/Davis/Emory.

He is going to give this offense lots of ability to be flexible without taking him off the field. Of course you can use an 11 personnel with 3 WR and still be able to run power and still throw with Him and the 3WR and run what is like a 4 WR set with a TE and 3 WR.

I rewatched the Floida game from last year and the Florida TE gave us fits most of the game and he ain’t shite compared to Gilbert!

So is this the offense that Chase was running away from?

This is exactly what was never done with Russel Shepard. Except moving him either as the tailback with the RB as a blocker if the defense was in nickel, or out wide against a LB in coverage if facing a LB heavy package.

moss was a big part of the offense last year, but could you imagine if this guy was here last year, with that offense?
