I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like whoever we play in the Ncaa Tournament (if we get there) we can beat. If everyone is on their game throughout the whole tournament, i think we have a chance at making some noise.

Why do you say that? You think if Simmons is on the top of his game and so is Blakeney, you think we can't win a few games?

They are 13-8. They need to win more than a few games. We've got some tough games left: Texas A&M, @ Kentucky, @ South Carolina, Florida, @ Arkansas...Ben Simmons national appeal helps with the push, but this team is going to have to go on a major run in the SEC Tournament.

What it boils down to is that I just don't trust them enough to win some of these big games.

Close losses to good teams won't get you into the tournament...

I'm hoping they make a good SEC tourney run. I'm not expecting the results garnered during the regular season to get them into the NCAA.

No. We will choke in first game of whatever tournament cause we can't hit free throws. Happens every year It's very predictable I mean why would you think anything will change with jones miles or manieri ? They are hell bent on doing what they are comfortable with and never adapting. It's just the way it is

I get what you say about miles and jones, im not very fond of them either. But manieri? the guy has 4 CWS appearences with 1 Championship and mulitple conference championships in 9 seasons. If thats not good enough you're expectations are way too high. but I don't want this to turn into a baseball thread because it's January and its basketball season.

But losses to average teams (Marquette/NC State/Houston/Wake Forest) can certainly keep you out.

They can perhaps make it to the tourney if they play well down the stretch. What I saw yesterday were a lot of lazy passes, and inconsistent defense. LSU plays well at times, but doesn't look to have the intensity it will take. On another note I haven't seen somebody (Hield) shoot like that since Chris Jackson. You have to give Oklahoma credit.

Blakeney is scoring more. So team could catch fire any moment

I don't think LSU is sound enough to make a memorable run, but they are the kind of team that a high seed would NOT want to face in the 2nd Rd
