Yes, it absolutely helps us! We keep Bama under 100 points because of the extra week for prep. No more than 33 field goals for them.

I think this by week benefits LSU more. Our team played a huge stretch of games and appeared gas and uninterested the last two games or so. Need rest and refocusing. Bama was rolling and getting better, hopefully the week off has altered their rhythm

It wont matter this year with no defense, they will beat us like a red headed step child. I wish it was not so, but I think this will happen.

Our defense is getting better. We're tied for 3rd in the sec in Total defense. 24th in the country.
