Now the structure of the SEC is great. I damn sure don't want to see LSU leave the SEC especially because of that revenue sharing. It definitely makes all schools better, thus the conference better, which then comes full circle. The people that would prefer the Bevo 12 amaze me.
But I'm a zero sum game guy; if Bama (or Ole Miss, or Arky) is winning we're losing (in my mind). It's great SEC gets and splits those revenues from having a champion. But I want it to be LSU. Anything else is bad (in my mind). I realize not all feel that way. But some, like me, aren't afraid to admit homerism and jealousy or want LSU to do something about it.

This was a bowl game. The players earned the trip and deserved time to see the sights and to enjoy the trip.

Oweo came close to explaining it. The biggest money generator is the tv contracts. The SEC Network is a gold mine! Evenly split among SEC teams and the SEC Office. Vanderbilt gets the same amount of money as does LSU.
Any SEC teams representing well keeps us in the minds of high school players nationwide. It gets the SEC the better players, we have better teams and we get better tv contracts.
As much as I hate to see it, Alabama playing in the National Championship every year is PR that money can not buy.

Well I guess I'm pretty safe from you figuring it out then.
But no we couldn't use Cam Robinson this year at all. Left Tackle wasn't a problem position this year. Our offensive line dominated alabama this year right?
Tim Williams certainly couldn't help this team at all. We didn't have depth problems at that position.
No Nick Saban doesn't regularly snatch a top recruit or two per year from our backyard.
He didn't just steal two top linebackers in the state when that's our biggest need this signing class.
And I'm sure he never once mentioned their Championships while doing it.

Do you think LSU isn't telling prospects that we are DBU?
Do you think LSU doesn't tell prospects that we have more active players in the NFL than anyone else, including Alabama?

Everyone had an equal shot at establishing a football dynasty.
We had Saban as head coach at LSU and couldn't keep him.
