Miles asking for water amongst all the chaos just before the very last play of the game??? I just do not understand how he would be worried about anything except for making sure everyone is on the same page. Instead, he is turned around, looking away from the field, asking the trainers for a bottle of water?????? I just do not understand the guy

That's nerves. When your sympathetic nervous system kicks in your mouth turn to cotton immediately. It is a natural human reaction to seek water in that situation. He was in a full blown panic.

Yes. Saw it but was not surprised. There was a critical decision to be made but he was thirsty. I think this instance might suggest he has some trouble with decision making, maybe....Nah, we're 5-0...

Next we'll have people blaming him because he had lost his voice and couldn't communicate the play in had he not asked for water.

Maybe it was a special bottle that had bourbon in it.

LOL…I saw it too…He turned around once he got the bottle of water, put one hand on his hip, and took a nice sip, as if he was kicked back on the beach…what a MORON

nah…apparently he got that last play in though he "did not have his headset." (THIS JUST IN: he asked for the water after he had already gotten the play in.)

Christ ya'll are just stupid.

He didn't have communication with the Box because they had left to head down to the elevator.

Is Miles an idiot, yes. But it has nothing to do with his "want", requests for water, or having communication with the box.

of all the things to bitch about, this is not one of them. who care that he was asking for water at the time, he had already spoken to the team and told them what to do. there was a good 45 seconds between the ref calling saying there was a flag and les asking for water. total no factor.

OHHHHH, how much I would pay to be able to tap into those conversations. I would pay a great amount of money to be able to listen in on his "communication" with the box

he was thirsty. he was scared. he could clearly see he was looking like a fool. he needed to calm himself for a minute and make a decision in the middle of chaos.

in that situation, saban would have pulled a flag out of his arse, threw it, went to the replay booth, reviewed the play then yanked the mic out of the refs mouth and said "the game isn't over bitches, let's play some fricking ball".
