He is. He was riding around the course one day when I was playing out there. They were looking at each hole rom behind the tee boxes I assume to decide where to place tees, new hazards, etc.

Does he have his own golf design company that prepared the plans? I just Googled it-he does.

Belowpar (I mean David Toms) is teamed up with Jim Lipe who used to work for Nicklaus Design. Jim is actually the lead architect on the project with input from DT.

I'm not bad mouthing it, because I actually liked the course. It was 15 years ago, but I shot the lowest round I've ever shot at that course. So I think it's magical...

LSU course sucks. The fairways are pretty bad, the greens suck, its really flat. However is 15$ green fee.

Ah C'mon! Holes 6, 7, 8 and 9 are interesting and challenging. The front nine is pretty good. 10 is boring, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 are OK until you get to the unholy trinity (16, 17, and 18)
Plus this course is ALWAYS in good shape

Been a member since 1999. They are definitely making it tighter and adding longer championship tee boxes. I play with a group on fri/sat/sun when I can and several have rode around during construction and say every change looks great. It's true that it isn't the hardest course in the world but making it tighter is gonna help lower scores. They are also raising the green complexes to keep the old men from putting from the fairway which will also make it tougher. They basically had only 5-6 holes that were tough enough for tourney play before. Most of the changes are to the other holes.

15 or 12, it seemed like it was in the mid 90's the only time I played it. No need to be a dick about it you douchebag.

The changes that they are making will make it one of the top courses in the state. They have wanted to compete with CCofLa since they built it in 98. I personally liked the course I used to play out there quite a bit when I worked at CCofLa, but besides its length I thought the design was pretty simple, and way to easy for LSU's golf team, case in point why the golf team was always playing at CCofLa and Santa Maria
