Anyone else think 2012 will be the year, not 2011?

Not to discount the 2011 season, b/c I think we can have a really good season, but after reviewing the depth chart for this year, I noticed how many quality players are RSFR, SO, and JR's. Assuming that RR and Mo C. do NOT turn pro early, here's our 2 deep for 2012:

QB: Mett-Jr, Rivers-RSFr
RB: Ware-Jr, Ford:RSSo
WR: RR-Sr, K. Boone-Jr
WR: RS-Sr., J. Landry-So
TE: Clement-Sr, T. Edwards-Sr, T. Dickson-RSSo
LT: C. Faulk-Jr, L. Collins-So
LG: Williford-Jr, Turner/Austin
C: Lonergan-Sr, Fordham-RSS0?
RG: Turner/Austin/White-RSFR/So
RT: Hurst-Sr or Collins-So

DE: Sam M.-Jr, Mingo-Jr, Maclin(?)-RSSo, L.Edwards-Sr, Rasco-RSFr
DT: Brockers-Jr, Downs-Sr., Freak-So, Logan-Jr
MLB: Minter-Jr. DJ Welter-RSS0
WLB: Barrow- Jr. T. Jones-RSS0
OLB: T. Randle-RSFr T. Jones or RSFr (Class of '11)
S: Reid-Jr., Loston-Jr, Sam Gibson-RSSo, Vinson-RSSo
CB: Mo-SR, Mathieu-Jr., Simon-Jr., D. Jenkins/J. Collins-RSFr

Biggest lossess will be Ryan Baker, Brandon Taylor, DeAngelo P., Will Blackwell, & Dworaczyk

Losing JJ, JL, S. Francois, K. Adams, K. Hatcher will not hurt as I think 95% of us would agree that more talented players are waiting in the wings. Mett should get some valuable PT this year, so '12 won't be his first snaps (hopefully)

There are obviously a few true freshmen that will have an impact in 2012 and I like getting Bama back at home that year for the "winner takes the West" slugfest. Hopefully UF and AU won't be back to top form in '12 as those games are on the road.

Again, I am very much looking forward to the 2011 season, I just think the 2012 team is better - ON PAPER.

I think we are STACKED for the next 4 years. We have a good chance to make it any of those years.

I have my eye set on the 2023 season. Has anyone else been keeping up with the in-state talent coming out of the U4 and U6 leagues this past fall? The pad level shown by these up-and-comers has been really impressive.

2012 being the year has been discussed here quite frequently. A lot of people expect a good year this year, but if we don't quite get it done they are expecting 2012 to be that year.

A lot of people know we are still really talented this year and know we have the potential to get it done this year and are hoping we do. If we don't there is still next year, but why wait 'till next year if we can get it this year. I say we take 'em both!

You don't think we can do it in 2011 but we can in 2012, the biggest change will be Mett instead of JJ.

Are we already discussing 2012?

I want to win the SEC this season. One SEC title in seven years is pretty mediocre.

I hope to God JJ plays well, but I'm not holding my breath.

Also, Hillard and Hill(maybe) will be in the mix at RB.

Who is the new SEC East team we'll be playing in 2012 - UGA or SC?
