I mean Les seems to be more about maybe emotion and motivation and less strong on the X's and O's of offense and defense. It what we always said about Dale Brown when he was coaching. They get the talent, but do they make best use of it on the field or court? Or make the best decisions during a game.

By emotion you mean the way MILES jumps up and down screaming on the sidelines and giving the fiery emtional talks?

Miles won a national championship with the talent he coached...Daddy Dale never did that. Over the past few seasons I've seen Miles and his teams do things that have made me scratch my head (Fake punt from own 10 in 2005 against Az. St., trying to call a timeout against Tenn. after an INT 2005, lack of discipline (too many times to mention), taunting, taking Charles Scott out of the game against KY last year, etc.). Brown did have a tendency to not win when he had the talent and to win games no one thought he had a chance of winning...Miles has shown a propensity to win big games and to lose games no one thought we should have lost. The most disappointing thing is that we have been playing too close to teams we absolutely should have obliterated, and we've been absolutely embarassed by teams in losses this year. This is something different from Dale, but you can find similarites anywhere if you look hard enough.

Personality and style wise I don't think two folks could be any different.

I have always seen many similarities between Cholly Mac and Miles.

Neither was particularly proficient in public speaking which colors the perception of them outside our community, and both took over in the shadow of a dynamic coach who had recently won a national title and that shadow haunted Mac his whole career and despite Les's MNC will from what I hear and read will haunt him his whole career as well.

I think Miles has proven to be a bit of a better recruiter than Ole Mac. I think, just my opinion, Mac was a bit better tactician, albiet in a different era.

See there are a lot pricks out there today. Just making an observation, if you don't agree, fine.

I don't really think that's true. There might be a small number of irrational people who thought we didn't have a chance to lose to Georgia, UF, Alabama, Ole Miss, or Arkansas, but I think it's unfair to say that he has a propensity to lose games he shouldn't. He's not lost to a pushover yet. Almost this year, but not yet.

Bad comparison. Miles is not a great motivator contrary to popular belief. Miles is better with offensive x's & o's than people give him credit for.

I agree with your comparison. Unfortunately for Miles, the fans in this era will never be satisfied with a Cholly Mac performance.

Les Myles-
I stopped reading right there. If you can't even spell the name of the man you're ridiculing; you have no place here.
