I want him to win it this year, and I want him to win it next year.

Completely agree with this. We're mentioned in every football discussion.

I want Leonard fournette to win everything. He is so humble and well deserving of everything that comes his way

im excited about it but im holding out until we know how bad/good auburn is this year. i still question how successful the team can be with this approach of 70% running/20% passing (ish).

i feel we can win MOST all of our remaining games with this philosophy, but its those very few others that will make or break the season for this team.

so heisman? yea im excited about that hype. but i worry the philosophy of run only will cost us the bigger opportunity (if it actually comes to that)

Huge for our program to have a heisman winner who also becomes a marquee pro. Marketing, recruiting, etc.

Seems obvious we want both and both are obviously closely related to a championship run, so not really sure how this can be considered anything other then a stupid post

A few things...first, the hype has become a reality, in that the mythical prowess bestowed upon LF came to life on national television. Fans, coaches, & the media can't un-see what happened yesterday. Signature moment? He had 3 or 4 in one game.

Secondly, the odds of an LSU running back have always been viewed as slim because of the stable of backs that normally accompany an LSU offense. He put up phenomenal numbers on only 19 carries. The fact that we are discussing this, and not in jest, is almost surreal.

And lastly, as a fan, I presumed like many, that HB7 was that once in a generation type game changer that we likely wouldn't see again for a while. Yet, 4 years later, here we are. If the goal is a national championship, then the pursuit of such is paired with the enjoyment and heightened expectation of, on any given play, potentially seeing something that seems humanly impossible. I'm not sure any other fanbase can say the same.

As do I. But feels like there's too much focus on it. Who cares if he wins the Heisman. Let's talk about winning the conference. LF probably agrees.

The thing is.. He probably doesn't win the Heisman if LSU doesn't win the conference. So...
