Sting can't get any picks if they don't test him. Bring it on.

Stingley has one game college under his belt.

He has also been practicing with the team since last bowl season, going up against some of the most talented receivers in the nation who just happen to be on his own team. Stingley has more than held his own & then some. There was also this quote from Dave Aranda during the Fiesta Bowl preparations.

quote:

“He’s looks like the best guy we’ve got,” said Aranda, who said Stingley was his first early enrollee to participate in a bowl practice. “In the practices we had I think he had three picks.

“What I appreciate about Derek is his approach to it. He’s going to come in smiling, ‘Yes, sir,’ ‘No, sir.’ He’s a great story right there. Before it’s all over he’s going to be something.”

Yeah, nobody has ever heard of Chris Harris, Pacman Jones (RIP), or Jason Verrett

Thank god. There's no way much development has been made from HS to college with these WRs in the past few years

Hell I thought I was considered a "negatiger". You slam every post man

Pacman Jones (RIP)

You know Pac-Man Jones just retired from the NFL right? He isn’t dead.

He also played at WV long before they were in the Big 12.

Honestly dude, you come off as a negative prick in almost every thread. Do you even LIKE LSU? Because I'm not convinced you are actually a fan, every topic you are contrary, negative and insufferable. TD admins should change your username to NUT-Huffer. K. Thx. Bye.

I garuntee you couldn’t name 5 NFL CB’s from the Big 12 without googling it. Hell 3.

Without googling...Aqib Talib, the first rounder from okie state that came out the same year as Morris Claiborne( can’t recall his name), Pac-Man Jones if he’s even still in the league, is Terrance Newman still playing? The Diggs kid from Texas, a couple OU guys who’s names I can’t remember.....that’s all I got and even that was tough to recall. I’m sure some of those guys may not even be in the league and no doubt there are a few that I don’t remember.
As comparison, there are over 50 former SEC DB’s in the league. LSU alone has about 9. That is as lopsided as it gets. The numbers don’t lie

Note- I went back and searched for former Big12 corners in the league and as of 2019 there were 15. That Info also came directly from big12sports.com

Hahahaha you couldn’t do it. PacMan never played in the Big 12 jackass.

He was drafted in 05. West Virginia joined he Big 12 in 2012.

Thanks for proving my point.

How? Your point was:
quote:

20 games against shitty CBs that won’t sniff NFL rosters.
And there are plenty.

Since you shifted to talking about stars in the NFL instead of simply making rosters, how many big name CBs from LSU do you think the general public knows? The rest of the country doesn't keep up where other teams' players went to school

These recruiting gurus say a lot of shite.

Not knocking Stingley, just this as news. Oh great, 7v7 is nothing like 22v22. And its more likely 30+ v 30+ with special teams and subs.

I'm trying to figure out if you're a GUmp, a Longhorn, or a Faggie. Based on every post I see you in, I find it hard to believe you're actually an LSU fan.

I remember a coach saying that cornerback is the position in which a freshman play and be most effective.
His reason. You either have the physical ability to play the position or you don't.

This is essentially correct especially if you are manning up which LSU does most of the time.

Same can be said for the RB position if you don't have to learn blocking assignments.

I feel real good about our corners sticking like glue on UT's WRs. They are big and athletic but not as athletic and fast as our DBs.

I would say the overwhelming majority of NFL fans know Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu and Jamal Adams. If Tre'Davious White wasn't playing for the Buffalo Bills, I'm sure more people would know him, too.
