If he doesn't shite the bed and short arm open wide receivers again when we play Bama in Tuscaloosa he might have a chance.

If Etling can improve on his timing with deep throws there is no reason he can't have a great season. I already like his pocket awareness and footwork in the pocket. He moves in a way where his feet are ready for a throw. He also doesn't drop his eyes once his pocket gets muddy.

Bama was easily his worst game.he missed on throws that he normally makes.

Don't you know by now? The starter is never the best; never has the stronger arm; never has the best pocket presence; and never has the best speed. If you want DE to be better, he can't be the starter.

I can definitely see the resemblance! With the versatile offense we will be running, with a passing game included, Danny can be the man! Average QB surrounded with play makers, I have seen this before and it spells = SUCCESS! Danny's strengths are quick feet and a pocket presence that is hard to find at LSU these days. One more thing, HE HAS EXPERIENCE with a hands on coach. TIGER BAIT!!!

If you are asking if he can throw for another 10 yards a game to match Flynns senior year. Yes I think sucky arse Etling can make that HUGE improvement to become just like Flynn.

Mayhew man you know facts have no place on the rant.
2013 lsu was 11th in the country in yards per play but since we don't run a HUNH we were 105th in plays ran and it hurt our totals. We were 9th in the country in points per play too.
Our defense sucked. We were 28th in opponents 1st downs per game.
We scored 40 points and lost.
Just like in 2015 when our offense was far far better than our defense yet everyone gripes about the offense.
