sorry if this is beating the subject to death but i had to see if anyone else was like me.... ok so for the first game on the 5th leading up to it i was excited, and couldnt wait for the kickoff..... this time around its different, im not scared, im not excited, the only emotion i can think of is anger, the thought of playing the alabama football TEAM again doesnt bother me, they truly are the second best team in the country IMO, however having to deal with their fans for another month is making me angry, when talking with my friend from high school who is now a gump, i asked him "when we win what will yall have to say then?" he responded with "win or lose, we are the national champs, count it #14." i honestly didnt know what to say to that, so i just left, because i didnt want to call one of my good friends a dillusional jackass to his face..... so my point is, the bama fans are basically taking away all my excitement for the game and turning it into anger, and because of that i hope we beat the ever living shite out of them.... anyone else more angry about the game than excited? or is it just me

Every day that goes by, the gumps are sliding noticeably deeper into the abyss of insanity. It's an amazing thing to watch.
I've never seen a fan base get so completely mentally obliterated by the loss of a single football game (11-5). They are now completely unhinged.
I guess it doesn't help that we've been laughing hysterically at those clips of their fans melting down during the overtime.

I somewhat agree with you. I also have anger toward them because of the "whoring" that was done for them to insure they played in the BCSNC game. It will come at the expense of the rest of the conference as their is a growing anger now toward the SEC like I've never seen out here. Of course, I've never seen so many people out here say they are pulling for LSU because of Bama and the "coronation" the gumps received to play in the game.
Of course, I've loathed Alabama for as far back as I can remember so my loathing is not something new with them.

Do you really think so? If bama loses a close one in the dome, I bet the U of A student newspaper and Finebaum will release their own poll declaring the tide national champions... and the gumps will instantly start printing up the "14" buttons and "14" helmets.

Beating Alabama, especially beating them down, would be, to date, the crowning achievement in LSU athletics and, arguably, put an exclamation point on the best season in the history of college football. In my opinion, this means that this team would be the best ever, better than any of the USC, OU or, dare I say, previous gump teams.
