Are there any underclassmen that should consider leaving for the NFL or better yet any that could make it in the NFL?

Only people leaving early are the fans going to the games.

Your most likely players to consider would be

Kwon Alexander
Danielle Hunter
Jalen Collins
Jalen Mills

eta...shouldn't have wasted time posting full names

And out of that list, Collins is the only one that should.

Until there is evidence that the trend of early departures at LSU has abated, I will predict that virtually all draft eligible underclassmen will opt for the NFL.

These kids really need to stay imo. Dural is another one who would probably go at best 5th round.

He's not even a top 15 WR for this year's draft

While I can only conclude their decision to be very short sighted...I can not argue with anyone who has a chance to make well over 6 figures annually to do the exact same thing your already doing virtually for free.

Education is important but at the end of the day I do not even know which LSU players are even taking real majors or even go to class.

ETA: I do agree that they should stay. None look ready to full excel at the next level at this moment.

With the bitter taste of this season, I expect them to pursue the NFL without any regret.

Staying is a systematic dogma that must be instilled and even though this season points to it truly hurting LSU, the eligible parties will still go. Is what it is and can't blame them.

Had the NFL not made the salary changes they did, we might not be held hostage to the degree we (they) are. The 5 grade max helps, but bugs will get in everyone's ears.

very very true, its that second contract that they're all trying to get to, and if there's even a chance they'll get picked up after the draft they're gonna go

They probably all will leave.
That precedent of the players in front of them all ending up on NFL rosters will make them chase the NFL dream now rather than later.
Doesn't matter if there 100% ready or not.
This is their one shot and why risk injury coming back if you can make a team even as a late round pick or even free agent pickup.

again cant blame them...most of them have competitive spirits and believe they are the exception not the rule.

no one plans on getting cut...they all believe they will make the team, go on to have 6-12 year NFL careers...

We need to consider every single 3 year starter as an early entrant to the draft and just forget about them staying. If they stay like La'el, then it is a bonus.

We are looking at a future LSU with no one redshirting and no seniors of note starting, unless it is someone like Mett or Hilliard/Magee who started late and who is trying to establish himself.

If a guy is starting by his Soph year, just consider him gone once he gets 3 years in. Sad, but true.

LSU is bloated after a 15 year run. Fans, players, coaches, program - all bloated. We will have to have some lean years to get hungry and focused again, I am afraid.
